The Bar Towel

This is not a big surprise to me since I've seen Creemore stored at room temperature at many LCBO locations. They just have a buffer of some bottles in their fridge, the rest of it sits somewhere on floor.

Come on Howard, Aecht Smoked Marzen is a world class beer and I think I've had at least 3 cases of that during the last two years - never came over a stale one. They had those Christofel gift packs for sale last year. I really feel sorry though I cannot buy this beer anywhere in Ontario. I think it's a classic.

I think you are perfectly right. I've drawn the same conclusion after my many vacations in US. If LCBO is able to maintain the present prices and continue to have these theme releases I would be willing to settle for a narrower selection. I don't think I could afford to buy beer by the case in US as...

You are right about Lagavulin 16. I just bought a few bottles in Germany for almost half price of what it goes in Ontario for. As for the SAQ price, sounds nice but if you really want to buy a bottle it's nowhere to be found - or maybe I was unlucky.

Are there other single malt fans among the bar towel regulars? Maybe we can open a separate discussion topic on the subject. Any opinions?

We've seen quite a few releases at LCBO during the last years but this is one great brand that's been missing. Anybody knows why is that?

When I said "sucks" I was reffering to imports mostly even though I must say I tried some of the locals and wasn't excited at all. All in one I preffer LCBO to the BC liquor store.
