Re: Bar Volo - new(ish) food menu

Could this be the end of Volo? http://thebulletin.ca/downtown-groups-wanted-more-say-on-yonge-tower/ I think they've known for years that if/when the tower goes up, Volo goes away. Yes, they've known for a few years...the "second location" as far as I've heard was always going to be a rep...

I agree he responded poorly, however I don't think the post that turned him (Portwood's) was harmless. Just because the OP thinks his asking price is a deal doesn't make him a slimy sales rep, which the post implies. Regardless, his poor response doesn't justify people to pile on. Pack mentality. A...

Re: Keep6 Imports opens online bottle shop

Just wanted to post a quick note about what a great experience I had with keep6. A few days ago I placed an order. Within two days, I got a notification that the order was ready.
Today I went to the LCBO warehouse...everyone there was super nice and I was out within 20 minutes.

Well done guys!

It's Hamilton. The sign will stay up on a place that shut down ten years ago. :)

Re: LCBO Spring Craft Beer Release 2016

Would be nice if they carried the Brooklyn Ace 4 packs of 330ml instead.. Given the current exchange rate, the Brooklyn looks to be very good value. I think it was that price when it first came into the lcbo. I don't mind the size so much as the price. A couple of bucks less and I'd buy a case or t...

Re: Dieu Du Ciel Anniversary Party & Bottle Release

Peche on Nitro is a religious experience. I wanted the BA version to blow me away and though it was good, the original is just one of those beers that stands apart.

Re: Toronto Brewery District

Tell me if I missed something and/or got something wrong, but from what I can figure out: Henderson Brewing has proposed a "Brewery District" in which, of course, they would be located within. A couple of Toronto breweries outside of this "district" are upset because (a) they ar...

All four I had were great. Both double bastard's could easily be aged and fall really close to barley wine territory.

Re: Ontario Announces First Winning Bidders for Sale of Beer in Grocery Stores

I'm actually impressed at how quickly this happened between the liberal announcement and product on the shelves.
Complain all you want about no coolers, but the red tape could have kept this tied up until 2017.

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

People have been asking on Twitter and it seems like it still hasn't shown up in the LCBO. It's being aged at room temperature as per all IPAs to pass through the LCBO. Joking aside, it's been available in the bottle shop for the last few weeks. I often buy directly from GLB. Everything in the frid...
