Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Enjoy!

Do you know if this is still at C'est What? I think I'm going to head there tonight and I hope to try it. I guess if it isn't, hopefully the Pumpkin Ale will be there, as I haven't tried that yet either.

Had an Orange Peel Ale with dinner at home. Then was at Volo and had Durham ESB, Koningshoeven Quad, Mill Street Milk Stout and then finished the night off with a bottle of Yeti Imperial Stout.

A melange of the finest beer available this evening. New grist Sorghum and Bavaria Light. I have a friend that has a gluten allergy and she was wondering about New Grist & La Messagere. I told her to not bother with beer and enjoy her wine. With dinner I had a Long Trail Double IPA. It was good...

I'm having a Stone Bitter Chocolate Oatmeal Stout, which was their 12th anniversary release from last year. I love the bitter chocolate flavour! I liked this 12th Anniv. better than the current 13th. No clue why others found it rough. Having a Garrisons ImPA despite getting over a cold - the hops a...

Went to Beer Bistro for dinner and had a Brooklyn East IPA followed by a Urthel Hop-It. After, went to Jays game and after a depressing time looking at the beer selection I settled for a Stella. After the game, C'est What for pints of Black Oak Summer Saison and Amsterdam Spring Bock. Finished the n...

I love the irony. Up tight Torontonians get upset about the billboard, proving its point. The only uptight people I ever meet in Toronto are the suburbinites who spend 2 or 3 hours a day commuting. As for garbage pile ups...bring it back on...I hardly noticed it. The only piles of garbage I saw wer...

If you think they serve the average beer drinker well, you should go accross the boarder and see how cheap the cases of Labatt Blue are. The LCBO sets the price floor for beer as a part of "social responsibility" (ie. people are too stupid, we need to raise prices to protect them from the...

Anyway, these types of consumer boycotts are a great way to get publicity and raise awareness. I'd say next year make it a bigger boycott and contact the media and use it as a means to educate people on the stranglehold the LCBO and The Beer Store have on Ontario, but considering they serve the ave...

In a world of open competition, an effort like yours may be a soution, but we live in a skewed market. The only solution is legislative (from the top). The only way a legislative solution will happen is to get the public on your side. Politicians tend toward the status quo without a good reason (ie...

This is extremely trivial, but funny - bottle deposit in New York is always 10¢, yet you get back 20¢ at TBS if its over 630 mls. TBS is handing me a big profit for my non-Ontario empties. I don't have a car and the closest TBS is too far of a walk for me to bother carrying my empties. Man, I hate ...
