The Star rates beerbistro the best pulled pork in the city..

They also rated Mill Street Brewpub as the worst. Read the article here:

I haven't tried the pulled pork at Mill Street so I can't comment on it. I have had the pulled pork at beerbistro many times however and agree that it is messy, but oh so good!

And it is really good! They also have the Black Irish Plain Porter and a bunch of Octoberfest brews.

Smoked salmon is a better choice than sandwiches from Schwartz's or The Main, but the best IMO is just to have the rauchbier on its own. I thoroughly enjoy my rauchbier with a cigar (or cigarillo). Forget the cognac, beer is better paired with cigars; Not only rauchbiers, but scotch ales (like Doug...

Awesome festival, as always. Certainly not a cheap event though. I easily spent $150+ over 3 days of drinking! It was cool bumping in to Bartowellers every day and meeting lots of new people. I got to meet the owner of Pump House Brewery and his wife who confirmed the Blueberry Ale will be back on O...

I'm taking the 3:10pm VIA train today, so I'll be in and out of the festival for the next 5 days. You guys should be easy to spot... a fish on a bike and a young lad wearing a winter hat! I'll be the one drinking beer. Actually, I'll likely be wearing a Black Oak Quality Control Crew or Durham Hop A...

I've had this beer on tap at C'est What about 4 or 5 times now over the past month and I really like it. I just had the bottle version of it over the weekend and it's also very good. I'll be getting more of them as this'll be an excellent hot weather patio brew. Look forward to trying the extra oran...

Hey Andy. Missed ya at the fest! Talked with Brant most of the time I was there. Make sure to hit him for free rounds as he won the 50/50 draw! I was underwhelmed this year. Very little number of brewers there and nothing much new. The biggest highlight was Rob Creighton with his new Grand River Bre...

Picked up the one lonely bottle sitting on the shelf as it looked interesting from the description on the bottle. The label is very boring though and looks like it would be from a macro. Regardless of the low ratings I noticed this beer is getting, I found it to be very different from any other beer...

Yeah Graeme is a really nice guy. It's great discussing beer with him. I don't know about you but the music was blaring at the time so we were shouting at each other at the time. But then, he'll play whatever music you're interested in on the spot from his computer. He had 4 taps at the time I was t...
