Re: Godspeed Brewery

Not having been to Godspeed since their first month of opening, I think they'll be first on my "re-visit" list of breweries when I get back into town.

Seems they're really hitting their stride on a wider range of beers now which is kind of what I hoped would happen!

I was going to say...was it actually canned in the Czech Republic...or is it brewed somewhere here too? But I suppose not....

Re: Armand & Gaston / Figaro cancellations

... I could MAYBE understand one of (Armand & Gaston / Figaro) not being available, but definitely not both. I'm sure all the usual bars will have no problem receiving their inventory to sell at 2x & 3x's the list price...getting pretty tired of this... That sounds rank. How can this be? If...

Re: St Amby RIS

I stopped cellaring beer for extended periods. Was getting too pricey, especially if you want to do verticals, and never found enough of a difference or improvement in any beer really. I personally find it overrated, but that's just me. The late beer guru Michael Jackson said 'if you see a beer do ...

Re: Wvrst to open on King West in TO

So, it WVRST King Street closing? It seems there was a tweet, since deleted, by WVRST that essentially said this, then some chatter about the King West pilot and business being down....Bar Hop jumped into the conversation. Anyone know what the deal is? I don't stop in that often....I like the place,...

Poor Lake Effect, no love!
Agreed though....it's not in the top 3-4 hoppy beers that GLB makes....so not overly excited for it.

Re: Bellwoods Brewery

Hafis was Dead at 12:15. I’m guessing the SK variants last a bit I'm guessing the $17 price tag had something to do with it. That certainly was for me to stay away. BOYD was $14 and even that was too much for me. I tried a few of Bellwoods stuff and although I thought they were decent, I deemed the...

Re: Stalwart Brewing beer removed by LCBO after one day on sale

Apparently the LCBO is getting stricter and stricter on enforcing their crazy label requirements. Seems many breweries who have been around longer know to steer clear of anything *remotely* close to bad text/graphics topics, with Doctors and medicine being a well known one. Too bad such information ...
