Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Enjoy!

One other thing that is likely in jeopardy: I remember reading/hearing that Unibroue was entering the distilling business. That will probably never see the light of day.

I wonder if their annual general meeting, scheduled for April 22nd in Chambly will still take place?

I wouldn't be quick to assume that Sleeman will discontinue, or even change Unibroue brews. Sleeman is nothing if not a great judge of the marketplace and seems to be very aware of the differences in regional tastes. Sleeman bought Okanogan (sp?) Brewing out in BC back in '96 and although there was...

Hmm. I think this sucks. But Dion et al control the brewery pretty tightly - I wonder if they would agree to sell unless there were clauses to maintain (at least some) of their brands?

Thanks for the info. When I first saw this post I thought "winery = Niagara". But from your web site I see Southbrook is in fact at Major Mac and Bathurst, which is pretty convenient.

Definitely one of the breweries I'd like to visit at some point.

BTW, I know Joe's still has some stock of the Prima Pils.

Yeah, I had a bubba of Bolduc a few years ago.

And you're right Perry, Maudite has left for Sleeman. Manul (or anyone else) - you should probably contact Kelly Ryan about orders. He's Unibroue's new Toronto rep who we met at the Bartowel night at Ciro's. Not sure if he frequents the forum.

No, Cass actually saw the second Pixies show. Only *I* saw the first one, in Minneapolis (and then drove up to Winnipeg to meet up with Cass). :D Yes, A is much more fanatical than I. But the show was a lot of fun, and it was an extra bonus to bring back all the Grand Crus. Manitoba, considering it...

Does anyone remember this thread? We discovered that Manitoba stocks both Rodenbach Grand Cru & Old Foghorn. Well, guess where I happen to be going tonight? That's right, Winnipeg! I'm bringing an extra backpack to carry home beer.
