Re: Great Lakes
Upcoming LCBO release of Lake Effect in cans. Hopefully it gets out nice and fresh, I think LE is my favourite of their IPAs. Saw some cans being delivered to C'est What? yesterday and then saw a pic on insta later that day where one of the cans was actually filled with harry porter. Hopefully they...

Also my favourite of their IPAs but I always limited how many I bought because of the 650ml format. Saw some cans being delivered to C'est What? yesterday and then saw a pic...

Was there and for the most part had a good time - ran into a few folks from BT. Also really enjoyed the Ducato bottles (esp. the Krampus). Was hoping they would kick out that idiot in the red shirt who jumped the link. He cut in 2-3 people behind us. I know exactly what he looks like - fucked up fr...

Re: LCBO Summer Craft Beer Release 2015
Does it have a cork? Or just a metal cap? Has anyone tried this yet? I want to know if it's a real sour before I commit to a bunch of them. Just had one tonight. Very nice and tart. Not very sweet at all. Nice sour, not lip puckering but it is sour for sure. Didn't get a hint of heat. Worth picking...

Not much equity in Belgian Moon!saints_gambit wrote:You've sort of got to hope that they understand they're not bringing the brand with them. The only reason to bring Blue Moon is if it comes with the attendant properties.
It's incredibly dumb.

Crowlers - a can growler.S. St. Jeb wrote:?? What are these?lister wrote:The nearly 1L growler cans are an interesting idea.
On their website, it appears they sell standard 473 ml cans.
Their core brands are in 473 cans and you can get a crowler fill of a seasonal (right now just the Boosted IPA).

Re: Redline Brewhouse - Barrie, ON
Had their speed wobble and clutch back at the Barrie beer/rib fest some time ago. Both nicely done, both had some room for improvement...but overall, for their first attempt, I was pleased. Hope they do well with an official space and opening. Clutch made no impression on me when I tried it at Rib ...

Re: Redline Brewhouse - Barrie, ON
Retail has opened for Redline now - looks like the restaurant should open tomorrow.
Must say, the APA (Clutch) is killer and their American Strong is really nice as well (Speed Wobble). I think the Golden Ale needs some work but I'm pretty stoked to see how Redline progresses. Solid start.

Re: Random Reviews
Just started drinking the Tank 7 farmhouse ale. It's good, but a little odd. Nice and peppery saison character. I found it a bit sweet and alcohol forward though. At 8.5%, I find that a bit high for a farmhouse ale. I'm really digging it - I was actually surprised by the abv as I thought it was wel...
