Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Enjoy!

...30 and sometimes 60 L keg. Lets just say they are in their 20's anddrink alot of beer. They have a cold room where they store the keg and it works very well. Cameron's even lent them tap handles and the rest of the equipment without deposit as a gesture as they are buying alot of beer. Tell them...

I was hoping that Peter from Esprit could do the intro if possible, I think that would have a better chance of success than a cold call, but if nothing comes of that, I'll use that info you provided, thank you sir! :)

Oh, sure... I'm positive the wonderfully responsive LCBO people would jump at the chance to explain their decision-making process to us, and to gather empirical public input, especially for the higher craft-level niche market they're so avidly interested in serving. Obviously you're being sarcastic...

Esprit/Peter: Do you think the LCBO buyers you deal with might be interested in meeting up with some BarTowellers at Volo, or C'est What (it's closer to the LCBO - assuming they work out of the location down off Queen's Quay there) one night or afternoon, for a sort of casual 'focus group' type disc...

Just as a FYI, Dragon's Breath is still available at the Kingston Brew Pub on tap as a pulled real ale at 6% and a pushed at 4.5% or so. Not really the same grapefruit-based paint stripper that I recalled Hart brewed on contract but still nice. Yes, thank you for pointing that out... I know, that's...

Cross Border Camping Trip

Hi Folks, this isn't an official 'beer event' per se, but it sort of is... Back in November when I went to Premier Gourmet in Buffalo, en route I noticed a KOA Campground on Grand Island (just 10 minutes over the border across from Niagara Falls). My family camps, and a fair number of our friends do...

Who's hosting?, I'll bring a keg of Black Oak Pale Ale...! I'm not kidding, Steve E and I won the silen...

Ontario & IPA's

I was listening to 'The Good Beer Show' podcast today ( http://goodbeershow.com/ ) on my iPod, which I got for free by the way, if anyone wants to know how, check my blog or PM me... Anyway... on the show (episode 64) they were sampling two Imperial IPA's, and of course I was drooling... During the ...

Good thread... Essentially I think the best answer here is to look for good 'gateway' beers... Something that a newbie will like, but will be different enough to make something think about continuing to try... No sense giving them Laker beer or something because they'll just claim it tastes the same...

Why not try getting some better-than-average US beers in like even Sierra Nevada Pale Ale? Rather than expecting the masses to jump on an insanely-hopped beer. I mean lets get real. DFH 60 Minute isn't insanely-hopped. It's a really nice IPA, that's all, still very drinkable... The 90 minute is mor...

Have you done the montreal brewpubs before? If not you definitely need to make time to hit them as well as the fest. Regarding Brewpu...
