The Bar Towel

Had it last night at the Black Tomato and was mildly disappointed. It would be a stretch to compare this to DFH and ST IPA... more of an IPA or PA in the British style. It tasted like Corporal Punishment but with less flavor and more bitterness. Overall, a decent beer but nothing to get excited about.

I usually love Rogue but I thought the Brutal Bitter was mediocre at best and the Kell's was swill. Green Tea was really nice and looking forward to more. I'll back up mjohnston on effects of the BGB. I had a bottle after dinner and it felt closer to 7.5% abv. Not that I care either way... 5.5 or 7.5, it's still a solid beer and would order again from R+R.

In regards to Rogue, the demand so far has been less than a pallet...not worth our while or the brewery's. Sorry to be short, but the paperwork costs more than the profits. i just cracked open a black cap john by and it's still going strong. although i have lowered expectations for my other red cap john by after reading the previous posts.
