Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Enjoy!

Those announcements aren't starting soon, I heard on playing when I was at the store on Bayfield Street in Barrie last night. ***New thought*** As an aside to what I have already said, I realize I have forgotten something. In case you're wondering just how contentious this round of bargaining will ...

What's ridiculous, among other things, is that LCBO "system" does not reward a person like Steelbackguy...someone whose knowledge has a high signal-to-noise ratio. Actually, one of the new suggestions the board is putting forth (with which the Union disagrees with of course), is to actual...

***New thought*** As an aside to what I have already said, I realize I have forgotten something. In case you're wondering just how contentious this round of bargaining will be, just walk in to your local LCBO and listen to the songs they are playing. Soon, you will hear one of the new automated anno...

I am a Casual with 8 years seniority. I work 6 days of the week, but the shifts are short so I need to go in for small shifts to make ends meet. Not crying the blues, just stating matter of factly. 65 % of our workforce are casuals. Thanks, PeenSteen and Steelback for the info. How are these breakd...

That's probably the real question here. All we know is that they make less than $100,000 a year. lol I made less than $30,000 last year. Yeah, I`m spoiled. Full-time, part-time, or casual? I am a Casual with 8 years seniority. I work 6 days of the week, but the shifts are short so I need to go in f...

My issue would be more at the store level. How much does a floor worker (CSR?) make at the LCBO compared to someone at Home Depot, or the Future Shop, or something like that? I get that the LCBO has this whole social responsibility thing with keeping alcohol from minors, but the guy working at Macs...

Let them strike and let them strike for a long time. Maybe that will give the public push needed to be done with the LCBO and open up the system. If we do strike, it wont be for very long. I won`t be too upset. I could use a week off. I wouldn't expect the strike to last long either. I expect the g...

Lisa and I check it out on a whim this evening when I got off work. We got there at 9:30 and there were about 10 other people there which was encouraging. I only drink on two days of the week and tonight was not one, but Lisa had an RPA and she enjoyed it. I had a Soda and Lime but got some high sco...

They've recently added two 60-in-1 table top arcade machines. I was really hoping they'd bring in some table top machines as they're perfect in a bar setting. Had a blast with some Xevious and 2-player Tetris. The beer list still isn't anything crazy, but being able to sit in extremely comfortable ...

Had a discussion about this with Matt today. I was in agreement about some of wacky styles they are making, and about some of labeling quirks. I mentioned that I don't think they make bad beer.....we talked about some of their stuff being kitschy. I do not think LT is a bad beer. I would happily buy...

Tried to go this afternoon with Matt, and was surprised that, especially on St. Patrick's day, this place is not open until 5. Seriously! I wanted to spend my money there today!
