We had a great weekend as well. Went to Local Option in Chicago on Friday. Despite getting in there 2 hours early and going thru the list of good taps. We struck out on the Goose Island Proprietors. Seems like they were giving it to friends and regulars. A sympathetic local did give us half of this...

I wish we could delete almost this entire page of this thread starting with FEUO offering his take on why he doesn't want to go on a thread with people pumped to go. And then the petty, internet fight between two adults. handle that shit through PM if you are both butthurt by each other's comments. ...

i picked up a 17 on wednesday. Also a load of hoppy beers, some of much appear to have been around somewhat too long or otherwise not prime condition. When Ethan or certain people or there I check with them on freshness. yep, it's the bane of all ipa lovers in wny (and really anywhere that doesn't ...

Popping down on Sat as well. Hoping some CS is still left. Well, when i thought i was being smart and showing up when they opened assuming they got parabola yesterday since VBM did they had what looked like a lot of CS surrette and vielle on the shelf and a perennial 17 at the counter. sadly, they ...

You'd be surprised at what people are willing to try at these events - ie Anything that is not available to them. I'd stop by Bellwoods and bring a couple bottles, maybe some Great Lakes project X or fresh IPA. Harry Porter and BNL are actually quite popular at these things as well. Any plans to he...

We selected the ~$9 shipping option, and it allowed checkout. "International" was about $50, which I chose to hope meant overseas. Haven't got tickets yet but I'm not too worried as worst case they'll do will call or something. Yeah that's what he saw, which is why we went with my us box....

Anyone else get their tickets? We chose to have them shipped to my us box since my brother was saying the shipping to canada was outrageous when he was competing the purchase. Was that true or can he not read? I know last year I had them shipped to canada reasonably, so I was surprised he said they ...

bellwoods, please lower your limits i mean an 8 bottle limit is barely a limit, i can't see how it would hurt to have this bottle available in your store for 2-3 weekends to help out of towners get there (especially on a holiday weekend). i think a 2-4 bottle limit on this would have been adequate ...

I just dropped by Bellwoods and was in and out in two minutes with four MCs. Hundreds of bottle left today. if you really wanted the glass you probably had to stand in line before they opened, but when i saw the picture that bellwoods posted of the line i was really scratching my head. i guess if y...

Peche Mortel showing stock. I wonder if this is the 2011 batch or the 2012 batch?!? i was just thinking about how sad it is that it took this long to get peche mortel stock in ontario and now it is readily available in buffalo! albeit at a steeper price, but it's nice to know i can get my fix whene...

I drove down today - had been meaning to do a run for a while so ended up coordinating it with the KBS release. I got to Premier at 2:15 and was about 15 people back. But by 3:00 the line extended well into the wine/liquor side of the store. Not sure if everyone in line was successful in getting a ...

Curious how people made out today for KBS, I had to work until 3 and then saw premier was sold out and didn't feel like driving around to various consumers to hunt it. I heard the line started two hours before sale time anyway. Hopefully my fellow Canucks who made the journey didn't strike out.

If it's really 3000 bottles, I'd be shocked if it sold out by Sunday even with the 8 bottle limit. I think the other releases last about 4-5 days with a thursday release day, same limit, and smaller bottle count and according to the bellwoods guys most people don't buy the max, so hopefully it last...
