The answer to Ontario's tap situation seems to lie once again in the hands of our all-knowing provincial government which, in its infinite wisdom, treats draught beer separately from all other packaged beers and has only granted 4 import licences to 4 corporate entities so they can control and take...

Slightly disappointed that the Maredsous has a faux metal rim. Of course I still intend to pick one up. Tho very nice to look at, the faux metal rims are not really ideal for regular use. The Westmalle on the other hand is perfect for routine use, unpainted rim and nice weight to it. Not sure if any...

Perhaps if it had just been advertised as '$4 half-pint / $6 pint' a pointless thread could have been avoided. Other than gasoline and a few other things, volume discounts are ubiquitous folks. The details specific to draught beer are irrelevant. Now get off your computers and back to the business o...

What happened to Sam Adams Boston Lager
Has anyone tried Sam Adams BL lately? It appears to have changed significanctly. Far lighter in colour. Similar flavour profile, but muted. Certainly less bitterness. The label says 'brewed in Boston, MA and CIncinnati, OH', but I don't recall whether that was always the case, so I'm not sure whethe...

Did it scan at all when it was at the cash? It's still not in the computer system, which is probably one of my biggest peeves with the LCBO because it makes me feel like going out in search of something is a total crap-shoot that more often than not results in disappointment, and also outrageous an...

McAuslan St. Ambroise Citrouille
I've been rather impressed by both this and the Great Lakes Pumpkin Ale. However, I found the SA version to have achieved a better balance and harmony of flavours, especially compared to earlier editions (early 2000's, where the spice was too pronounced IMO). The only 'negative' is that it is border...
