Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Enjoy!

Yea its a feature that's been requested in the past but unfortunately the data just isn't available at this time. Inventories are available by product but not by store. I could mash the data and get a partial inventory by store - but it would be full of holes as there would likely be products at the...

browse drinks

You can now 'browse drinks' on drinkvine.com. This allows you to browse beer by style, name, country or even price per 100 mL. The styles are based loosely off of the BJCP. It took me a while to categorize them all but I think it's fairly accurate. There are bound to be some errors though so please ...

If it was a couple of years ago then it was the Carlsberg that was made by Labatt. They've stopped that. Now it's the proper Carlsberg imported from Denmark. It's still not very good but at least now it is drinkable. The old Canadian-made stuff was horrendous. That would explain it as it was the Ch...

I saw Denmark's choice was Carlsberg and it reminded me of a tasting we did a few years back, called "The worst of the worst". Two of us went to the LCBO and each picked up 10 samples of what we thought were the 10 worst tasting beers. 20 unique entries. It included everything from Busch, ...

A friend forwarded me a link this morning from the CBC website. Here it is: http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/ottawa/story/2011/04/15/ottawa-mill-street-brewery.html A Toronto microbrewery has signed a lease to set up a restaurant and brewery at the site of the old Mill restaurant along the Ottawa River...

It was a couple of years ago that I was on Universal, but the only good place was Tu Tu Tango. Really cool atmosphere (with artists & performers) and some great brews for this wasteland. Agreed.. Tu Tu tango was great. I ate and drank there a number of times and was impressed with the food, bee...

That is a good problem for OCB, the bad problem is that stores can only carry so many beers and when Corona and Bud Light Lime come out with a tall can guess what gets bumped so that Corona can have 5 different packagings of the same beer. The truth is OCB does not have the money to buy shelf space...

Weihenstephaner Dunkel. I put that shit on everything. My favorite as well. Sometimes I think the only way it could down faster is with a funnel. I also like Hacker Pschorr & Paulaner. The regular Weihenstephaner is fantastic looking beer.. lovely head - something the Muskoka & Denisons cou...
