Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Have I missed the Grand River Curmudgeon in Ottawa or has it not surfaced yet, or will it not come here at all? Don't see any east of Oshawa sadly.

DdC for me. I might be tempted towards Beau's if their seasonals and special one-offs had constant availability.

For a beer that nobody bought, it sure as hell disappeared quickly from the shelves. I got one only a couple of weeks ago (still in my fridge...now to be treasured more than I expected) and there looked to be a decent supply and now there doesn't appear to anything in the whole city. I did a reconna...

For what it's worth there was a phone-in about this today on CBC Radio One, Ontario Today with a minister from the McGuinty government (can't remember his name). The phone calls were overwhelmingly positive for these changes and most people said they didn't go far enough. Only one person said things...

It was awesome and was a finely tuned machine compared to last year. We went early on Saturday with kids in tow. We drove and left early because of the kids, so had to limit our beer. Tried three of the four 'Wild Oats', Dunkel, Gose and Pils. Thought the Dunkel and Gose in particular were great. Bo...

Something doesn't add up if Ottawa Bluesfest gets away with it. It is all-ages and it is ruled by the same AGCO.

If it's car camping then I don't see why your choice of beer would be any different than if you were at home. A big cooler with plenty of ice and you should be all set. The only thing that would impact my choice would be whether it was expected to be hot or cool. On a hot weekend like this one I'd p...

If they can make their Keller Bier a year-round thing, I would be a happy person. I don't really drink Creemore except for that seasonal, and I don't care really if they are big or small, I will drink whatever seems worthwhile.
