High School course in Brewing!

In the Czech Republic of course. :)

I can see the outrage in Canada if someone here tried to teach high school kids how to brew beer.

The NLC finally posted a list of the products that are going to be available at the Beerfest. I'm looking forward to having my old favorites Young's Double Chocolate Stout, Samuel Smith Imperial Stout, and Blanche De Chambly. It is good to see that Hockley Valley is going to have a presence. Nothing...

I visited Willow Park back in September. Fantastic beer selection. Very knowledgeable and friendly guy running the beer area (He was on his way to the GABF!). If you have time check out the Kensington Wine Market. Its wine place, but with a very nice selection of Belgian beers. The manager is a Belg...

"Landsman" Pale Ale at the Yellowbelly

The Yellowbelly has a new seasonal on tap. "Landsman Pale Ale". I had a sneak preview taste earlier this week, straight from the finishing tank. :D I'm told its an English style PA (I haven't had enough of that type to judge). It certainly not an American hop bomb but is 41 ibu with a love...

I bought a 650ml of Rogue Brutal Bitter at Premier Wines in Halifax last week for $8.99.
$6.95 at the LCBO seems like a deal to me.

New Brewery Coming To Edmonton

A new brewery is starting up in Edmonton. Kohler Brewing. Its seems like they are going for the generic lager market. "Very approachable" "Canadian lager". http://communities.canada.com/edmontonjournal/blogs/ontap/archive/2010/01/06/new-brewery-coming-to-edmonton.aspx http://www....

Carole MacNeil just did a brief story about this beer on the CBC News Network. It is probably a good thing that beer got a mention in the mainstream media, but they are treating it like a big joke. I'm sure tomorrow some of my friends will be asking me questions about BrewDog. :)
