Clarification: "too fresh" as in young, perhaps needing time for the booziness to better integrate into a rounder overall flavour profile; on the other hand, maybe that's just the normal for the 90...

Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA ---- this highly rated double ipa has been a bit of a let down for me ...too boozy in the nose and palate and lacking the flavour of a Bellwoods Witchshark or a Black Oak 10BY, both of which I highly enjoyed earlier this summer...perhaps my 4pack of 90minute is too fresh (...

I remember the Peculiar being in six packs at the Beer Store about ten years ago. I enjoyed it a lot then, but I was also still transitioning into craft and was certainly not appreciative of hop bitterness, which this beer didn't have.

Over the last few days in Buffalo... @ Coles --- Ballast sculpin IPA on tap---awesome aromatics similar to green flash, fruity flavours in a golden IPa with a softer carb. @Blue Monk---Victory Hopdevil NItro on tap---the nitro part intrigued me so i had to try it---IPA in taste, guiness in mouthfeel...

Yeah, that name (hilarious) rings a bell. It was a perfect recipe for a summer night session; I wonder if they'll take this new one in a higher abv direction?

I bought a pumpkin saison from the brewery back in June; it was quite light / quaffable, in the 4% range I believe---I enjoyed it.

Ultra fresh Smashbomb @ Yonge & Davis

Just picked up a six of Smashbomb on Friday dated Bottled on Aug.11 --- five days fresh!!! ---at LCBO Yonge & Davis in Newmarket. The aroma is pungent hop and the head is thick as would be expected with beer so fresh.

Mad Tom IPA bottles --- what a tastey beer!---I think the 3.68 on Ratebeer is a bit low for this one.

Wellington Imp stout --- tastey and a best value @ < $3 / can.

unloading swingtop bottles and glassware...

Hey folks, I'm cleaning up in prep to move and want to get rid of the following: -approx 24 swing top bottles, some ceramic, that I saved for possible future home brewing and perhaps one of you could use (or else I'm returning for deposit) -25 glasses (various style shapes, Ont craft and Euro brands...

I had the Beau's a few weeks back and thought the same---not as sour/tart as expected, I think less tart then the Amsterdam version. I've rad some reviews where it was likened more to a wit than a gose, though I think that was mostly based on the coriander in the Beaus. I also wrecked the last half ...

Bellwoods Roman Candle IPA---had a bottle of this last March and wasn't that impressed; I mean it was good, but bitterness more than malt/hop flavour seemed to dominate. Tried a bottle again yesterday-- gold in colour, it had awesome aromatics---leafy resinous hop, balanced flavour and bitterness---...

Bummer to hear about Omni; that was my go to when visiting the inlaws in Ott.

My fav summer purchases there were DDC rescousse and LTM keller; does anyone know where to get these now?

(I'm cutting through Gatineau next week to a cottage, with the family, so my beer search time is limited...)

Naughty Neighbour --bottles --multiple----this will be / and is a regular for me now; great aromatics, delicious hops and light body make this a quaffer. Fisheye IPA; not bad, I enjoyed it; it reminded me a bit of Duggan 9 IPA ---colour on the amber darker side, and somewhat similar malt flavours Gr...
