So, I am a little late jumping in on this one, but I haven't had any Sleeman beer for, oh a couple years maybe. So I happened to see some apcks of the IPA out at the LCBO. I grabbed one, and I am thoroughly enjoying it. I don't find any strange "chemical" taste to it, just some nice, subtl...

Hmm, looks like a blessing in disguise that I couldn't participate in the private order with all the doggie claw issues? Of course for those that are worried about their beers, I do accept donations during the Xmas season. Too bad though...I assume these special orders are "as is" and comp...

Chief Beer Officer

I'm sure most Bartowelers have heard about this one, but I haven't seen it mentioned. The hotel chain Four Points by Sheraton has a promo on now, looking for a CBO, or Chief Beer Officer. Judging by their questions, they seem to actually care if people know something about beer. Too bad it's just a ...

And the pink elephants and all add to the "festive" spirit of the season. I do enjoy Delirium quite a bit so good to hear, it is more than just a gimmicky beer to me, and I guess all the fuss the LCBO caused about it has helped it get picked up in town!

Quick question - just because I don't know.

Are private orders at all possible through TBS? I know they're run by the beer companies, but wouldn'tthey have some system in place as well for licensees and private orders?

Picked up two of these last night, so will be testing out my first thsi evening. Haven't had the Fuller's Vintage previously either, so looking forward to it. They had a TON at my local LCBO yesterday marked as "grat holiday gifts", so if this works well for me, I could be making a nice tr...

Haven't they always had the free mussels on Thursdays? I never heard of them stopping that nice "tradition". I used to work by there and we always stopped by on Thursdays, but that was a couple years ago.

Thinking of adding a case of Adam and/or Fred here...especially if the order arrives by holiday time (the Great Divide order arrived quicker than I expected...so who knows?) FYI - I kind of stimbled upon the private order threads by accident, after not checking BT for a week or so. In the forums I a...

I agree this is a decent stop downtown. Never frequented it very often, and actually didn't know about the Fuller's on hand pump! Decent food...pretty typical, low-key pub. (which is why I've never expected anything 'special' I guess!)

My fave that I picked up last year was the St Bernadus pack.
Hopefully we get some new gift packs this year, although the Chimay one is worth grabbing again.

Managed to pick up the Burton, Sam Smith and Celtic releases today in Mississauga, but Westmalle was nowhere to be seen in the Oakville / Mississauga area. Sounds like its going fast when it does show up...similar to the DFH 60? Seems like if you blink these days the "hot" beers are gone. ...

Ahhh, nice one. I enjoy Affligem from tiem to time. The perks of working at the LCBO, ha ha. I don't recall ever getting such perks back when I did a "holidat" stint at the LCBo a few years back, but I wasn't at a "beer" friendly location. Hmm, I do admit it was a fun environment...

Ya, Westvleteren seems to be a good potential option.
I suppose I'm limited to trying a few there and brining a ew home, which is why I was wondering if anyone else noticed any hidden gems or hard to get favourties from the list.
Cheers!!!
