Re: Bellwoods Brewery

I noticed that Hellwoods wasn't among the returning styles referenced. Does anyone know when we can expect to see it make a return?

Re: Ontario brewed Tripels...

Pretty sure I saw New Limburge tripel @ store the other day. I've had both their blonde and wit(two styles I'm not huge on) and really enjoyed them both, great beers. I didn't pick up the triple as my bill was already climbing far too high, but I will. Good catch! I think these tripels slipped thro...

Re: Ontario brewed Tripels...

I noticed Side Launch's Huronic Tripel on the shelves at Queen's Quay this afternoon. The 750 mL bottle format is unfortunate, but I enjoyed this one last year when I tried it on tap at Bar Hop so I picked one up to revisit at some point.

Re: Founder CBS

I've never tried it, but worry that the maple flavouring won't be my thing. It sounds like the maple isn't too overpowering, so maybe I will snag a bottle to try. Just when I thought I'd finally be ready to sit out a special release and give my wallet a break...

Re: BCBS Black Friday in TO - Nov 24

I thought this year's BCBS was tremendous on draught. It has a luscious, viscous mouthfeel and is just bursting with chocolate malt, licorice, prune etc. I would rather root for Bellwoods over AB InBev as much as the next guy, but I have to say I preferred BCBS to BYOD, judged draught vs draught. Ob...

Re: Coming Soon to the LCBO

Lots of people got back in line for seconds though. I noticed that as well. Lots were already holding one bottle when in line for a second, so clearly the LCBO had no problem with the practice. I'm content with the one bottle that I picked up. It rang in at $22.99, so a couple dollars cheaper than ...

Re: Coming Soon to the LCBO

I'm in line at the LCBO pop-up for BCBS. There are apparently 200 bottles and I've got ticket 128 having shown up just after 9:30. I'd estimate about 140 are spoken for based on the line up behind me.

Re: Bellwoods Brewery

They were pouring it last night. At Ossington? I don't see it listed as pouring at Ossington on their website. I know Hafis has it pouring, but I'm a downtown dweller and definitely don't want to be driving if I'm doing a BOYD drinking session. Huh. Yeah, it was definitely on last night when I stop...

Re: What're you drinking right now?

Bellwoods Bring Out Your Dead 2017 While this one will no doubt get even smoother with a bit of age, the higher bottle limit means I can afford to be a little less judicious in deciding when to crack one and I couldn't resist diving in now. The 2017 edition is definitely worthy of its 2014 and 2015 ...

Re: Bellwoods Brewery

Anyone know if/when the Ossington brewpub will be pouring this year's BOYD? Always fun to compare keg and bottle variants. They were pouring it last night. At Ossington? Re: Bellwoods Brewery

Skeleton Key is good, but I am going to sit that one out. Walked out with the full allotment of 12 BOYD and need to show some restraint. It's a matter of personal preference but for me BOYD is the unquestionable king. I'm a brandy/cognac drinker and imperial stout might be my favourite beer style so...

Re: Bellwoods Brewery

If BOYD is indeed released next weekend, it coincides with the BCBS release at the LCBO and Double Tempest Day at Amsterdam. I wish these events could be more staggered.
