Hopefully you'll work something out with Perry and put the Scotch Irish IPA or Porter on one of your taps???

I visited the biermarket on Saturday evening and was very happy to see the improvements in the beer menu. More domestic micro brew draft beer would be my only suggestion. Congrats!

The last issue of Brakspear's newsletter, which I received two weeks ago, seemed optimistic regarding the brewery's future. I do hope this wasn't just wishful thinking, I have a long personal history with Brakspear and I really do pray they don't cease brewing. Let's all cross our fingers that "...

I will be there on Sunday for most of the afternoon. I'll also be bringing along a good friend who's visiting from Vancouver, Jeff Ashton. Jeff is a very well known brewer in Vancouver, his beers (particularly his IPA's) routinely win awards at West Coast festivals. At one time he was working with B...

Just popped in to Joe's for a pint. Very good Perry, congrats! Definately superior to both Al's Cask Ale at C'est What and the I.P.A. at the Granite. I hope you make it a regular product and that it features regularly at S.J.'s.

Hi Joe, As the one who started this post I'm glad I'm the first to reply to your comments. First let me say that I am amongst the many beer lovers in Toronto who admire you, your establishment and are thankful that it's around. I understand that you price the beers as reasonably as you feel you are ...

I saw a young guy proudly carrying a case down Queen Street the other day. I asked him if they were the stubby bottles. He beamed a huge smile and said "Yeah!". I asked him what the beer was like (having never had it) and he replied, "I don't know. Who cares man, they're in stubbies!&...

Ah Peter at Esprit! I always enjoy reading your replies, they're so gently worded and unjudgemental! Frankly I dare to question Joe and his prices because it's my RIGHT. My post didn't object to paying high prices for otherwise unavailable beers, but I don't think you read that part. You were too bu...

Okay, I KNOW I'm going to get flack for expressing this opinion... Is it just me or are the beer prices at Smokless Joe's a little high? Now before anyone froths at the mouth let me clarify what I mean. I FULLY understand that Joe has certain beers imported for his establishment alone and that those...

Perry, VERY EXCITED that your IPA is nearly ready! I will be wandering around aimlessly till late April with a pint glass in hand waiting for a chance to sample some. I really hope S-Joe's agrees to carry a a few kegs. The Winking Judge is a fair trek for me especially since someone totalled my car ...

I had a nice although dissappointing reply from Chris Robertson at the LCBO. Here's what he said after I asked him about keeping Hopdevil on permanent order; Dear Jon, Thank you for the compliment, we are trying to provide as much variety as we can. Unfortunately, there are limits to the number of p...

A quick review of the March Pale Ale offerings. I spent the weekend, like most, watching the hockey. Fortunately I picked up a bunch of the new products (2 cases of Hopdevil...lucky to find that much apparently) and did a little sampling. In no particular order; 1) Samuel Smiths India Ale. I too was...

Damn it's frustrating that an exceptional beer like Smuttynose can't sell well. What is it out here that quality micro brewed beers seem so unappealing to the Molson/Labbatt lager swilling masses? Sorry to sound a little pissy but I can't fathom it especially having come from Vancouver where there S...
