I'm all for proper glassware whenever possible. Unfortunately almost all my glasses are boxed up...waiting for a home in a nice home bar one day down the road. The proper glassware definitely does make things taste better. Never really appreciated it until the only glass I was using was a Leffe &quo...

Hey folks! The Quelque Chose camping experiment went quite nicely...unfortunately no burning embers or blinded by popping cork stories to report though. I simply heated the open bottle in a single pot over the fire, wasn't even boiling hot....about 6-7 minutes I think, and it was toasty warm...proba...

Good tips guys, We'll see how it goes. I might take Beer Geek's tip about contacting BB, but just drop by tomorrow, as its close to work...instead of calling :D The "pot in a pot" method sounds legit. I agree for safety reasons, that opening it before heating is likely the wise decision to...

Quelque Chose and Warming beers

Howdy folks, Did a quick search (as in if you know of a link to this answer, let me know!) but came up with nothing on this. I'm going camping this weekend, and the chilly weather has me thinking I should bring a bottle of Quelque Chose to warm up by the fire! Anyone know of a relatively foolproof w...

He he.
Maybe we should bring back that Toronto ferry, but instead of Rochester, send it to Oswego?? Kind of like the way the Swedes take the ferry over to Finland!

Ya, I've never been able to hang on the bottles either. Prefer to hang on to coasters if I see any interestinig ones. Of course beer glassware is where the fun is at (and they're "practical" you can argue)......I'm kind of partial to my Barbar mug and Ter Dolen tulip glass. But the Pauwel ...

Good tips guys,
I'd grab the porter, but need to limit myself unfortunately! Greg....I wasn't thinking too much on the bottle size as you mention for Hercules. Might just have to sway towards Titan, or stop grabbing a coffee & muffin every morning on the way to work, and grab an extra case!!!

Never been to Volo yet, but keep tempting myself by visting their website and checking in on the news here at Bartowel. Looks like quite the cozy place. So I offer up to Belgian and everyone else here at Bartowel....if you were to take out a "new" lady to a beer venue in Toronto, where wou...

Ok, the pricing is here and it is time to place orders. But I thought it better to place a question here, instead of "polluting" the pricing thread with questions. Is anybody ordering these, without having consumed any Great Divide brews? I'm looking at getting: 1 case of Oak Aged Yeti Imp...

I find it troubling that the interest / demand for good quality beer seems to be increasing, thanks to sites like this, and an increasing amount of press. Unfortunately, at the same time, we've got those who control the supply of beer working in the opposite direction. I can't think of a CAN of beer...

Can't comment on the altbier, but agree with lister, the Wunder Weisse is fantastic on draught. Believe I had it at Beer Bistro last year if not mistaken. Bottle version was sub-par though. Looking forward to warmer weather and more wheat / session beers!

Is there anything new at Beer Bistro to be aware of?
Haven't been for a couple months, but will be dropping by at least once next week.
Cheers!
