I recently had a couple pints of Rickard's White and was quite pleasantly surprised. I haven't tried it in bottles, so I can't comment on that.

I don't know much about it, but I do remember that there is an external thermostat to allow you to use a freezer. Since you've already got one, it might be worth investigating.
