I'm sure there are. I think there will be a reason to run a similar experiment......If you were at Session 99, Serendipity was the 3300 IBU experiment that ran awry.

i would guess they used a lot of hop extract to get the ibu amount up there so isomerization wouldn't be as much of an issue. i think it's a fun one off experiment and i'm sure the brewers learned a thing or two while doing it that will benefit the overall product.
