The Wren - 1382 Danforth

There's a Liquor Licence Application in the window of 1382 Danforth, a few doors east of Sauce. It says it's for The Wren. Has anybody heard anything about it?

Red Rocket Coffee - 1364 Danforth

Red Rocket Coffee was formerly on Queen East and is now four doors west of Sauce. They have a chalkboard out front advertising Nickel Brook Green Apple Pilsner, Lake of Bays Rousse Red Ale, Smashbomb, and Crazy Canuck with "more on the way!"

You missed the bailiff's notice sensitively taped to the window.

Been (through) there many a time. My memory is that it's just a crossroads with a gas station. I'm surprised that Metropolitan Rockford includes a strip mall.

I don't know if I lucked out on the lottery but my four-pack was far from abysmal. Over-expensive and not fresh for sure but far from a drain-pour.

I picked some up from the Market store today. The good news is that it tastes good. The bad news is that: - It was bottled on "05/21/12". - It's full of particles in suspension. - It costs $12.95 for a four -pack. If 10 Bitter Years was regularly available I'd never consider buying this ag...

I popped in around 5:00 one afternoon. The place looks spiffy. The lady behind the bar was friendly.

The draft list is on the timid side of craft but I was able to get a good pint of Boneshaker. There appeared to be a good selection of bottles and cans in the fridge. I can't vouch for food.

Magic Hat #9

I saw a card for Magic Hat #9 on the board of my local Beer Store this morning. 6-pack for $13-something. It's not on the website though.

Consumers now has a stand at the Buffalo ballpark offering draft beer. I haven't been to a game yet this year so I don't know what they're offering, but since you could already get Great Lakes (Ohio) last year, I would imagine they have to tasty selections. -rudy I was at the Bisons game last night...

Did anyone walk last time? I found the Brick Works maps a bit confusing as to whether or not the trails go under the road or if you have to dodge traffic? We took the shuttle there last time which was great but it might be nice to take a nice walk after depending how hot it is. It's a pleasant walk...

The "neighbour" in the name is meant to refer to America, so I imagine C'est What just got the name mixed up or NB have a slightly different name for the cask version. Ha, wouldn't put it past C'est What for mixing up the name of the beer. I'm going to assume it's the same beer. Probably....
