I made an all grain weizen and used the minimum amount of dextrose that ProMash recommended. I was worried because after 2 months I didn't see any carbonation in the bottle. It finally got a light carb after 3. I don't plan on naturally carb'ing this type again, but if I had too, I would go with the...

BBQ and Beer - goodbeer.ca

Has anyone heard when these will be? I emailed goodbeer.ca quite some time ago, with no response. The site is very out of date as well. I am looking forward to the one in Kitchener, nice to have some bbq available locally.

Thanks.

Most of the people I have met in both Canada, and in the States have no desire to try new tastes in food or drink. Drinking Bud to me is akin to eating the same meal every Tuesday, which a lot of people still do. The advertising and marketing may help draw people from one unassuming beer to another,...

I think it might be hard for someone to drink a regular supply of John Labatt Classic as well.

Odd that that much effort would be put into a BuckABeer site.

What kind of excuse is that? I brewed out on my patio in January when it was -27C (-40 with the windchill)!!! If I was more experienced, it wouldn't matter, but I can't expect grub to come to Cambridge to brew when the weather on the weekends was so horrible for a while. I doubt next winter will sl...

grub got me hooked on home brewing last summer. I have only done one beer of my own so far, but I was a helper monkey for a few more at his house. I liked it so much I have invested $500 or so, plus about 40 hours of work into equipment. I am going to be brewing with a guy from work mainly, as grub ...

Congrats Derek. I also had an Aventinus, and am having a Weltenburger now.

I have had a little over 40cm so far today. My car looks like a SUV under all the snow.

I had a few ample sized glasses with Rob last Friday, and was very impressed. It came from a growler, not a tap (is it on tap, or just cask?), and had sat for at least a day after being opened. The acidity was mellowed somewhat, but the berry sour was still in behind the malt. A good level of hops f...

These are pricy, but very nice. They are right next to my work, and I have seen many of them close up.

Might not be too odd if you have been skiing at Horseshoe... Sugarbush is pretty close to there.

I really like the local flavour/ historical names some of the brewers are using.

Rob: Thanks for your informative posts on the pros and cons of aluminum cans. As I think I said in another thread, I'm a big fan of this development. I really hope we might see some Grand River products in this format sometime soon! I just want the 500mL bottles to come. Perhaps the info that is on...
