I think the spearhead team have some surprises in store for the craft beer culture in this market. I'm excited about what they want to accomplish and anxious to see what they can do.

THe Martins are contract brewing the Gananoque beers for that company until they get brew facilities set up in Gananoque 18 months from now. I suspect Taps are selling their spare capacity. Got a brew you want contracted?

Sam Adams Noble Pils

I have a case of this gracing my summer beer fridge, A nice compliment to the Kolsch and Weisenbiers I laid in for summer quaffing. After sipping on this for a week or so I note its similarity to Prima Pils with the notable difference being a better balance with Honey-like pale Munich malting up aga...

I recieved a news release from them in E-mail. If they deliver on only half of their vision they will be producing some good out of mainstream beers. The part I like is: "unfiltered, unpasteurized, natural carbonation" That alone is worth the price of admission to watch the show. The first...

A-B Shock Top Blegian White invades Canada

Saw some A-B pseudo-craft beer (Shock Top Belgian White ) in the LCBO cooler the other day....wondering who the import agent is for this stuff...Labatt? Anyway, this Corporate Witbier tasted as expected. They say it has orange lemon and lime peel besides the coriander. Unfortunately there are a comb...

The limited numbers released is a bit of a disappointment. I'm guessing the stock numbers showing in the LCBO listings will be depleted in less than a week or so.

On my way to sling bugs at the steelhead this weekend, will definitely stop in at the brewery. I love this stuff as a summer mainstay.

Re: Alexander Keith's Tartan Ale

Anyone tried this? They are calling it a Scotch ale. I have to admit I am intrigued by the description: This Brewmaster’s limited release of Tartan Ale was inspired by the Scottish heritage of Alexander Keith himself. With its warm amber huesand complex aromas, this Scottish style ale has a full bo...

Southern Tier Gemini

A very fruity blend of IPA and EXpa. I'm sure this is the result of some ST customers telling the brewer about their blending of the the ST imperial pales and the brewer decided to bottle the blend. It''s really quite a pleasant drink. Full of citrus, apricot, peach, mango with a little earthy sweet...
