Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Enjoy!

Re: New Beer Store Deal

When I hear ownership, I immediately wonder about the numbers and the power of control.
Kel Varnsen wrote: not sure how much power 1 share will have.

Looks like no more word on this since it was talked about on Sunday/Monday. I have tweeted at Cole's, who said last night that there would be info this morning about the event.

There is talk of tickets, so it would be nice to know more than 3 days in advance so if I wanted to go, I could.

Sidebar: I will say that I do not rate Ontario (and most other) beers due to working in the industry. I just think if you work in the industry (making, selling, serving, retailing) it's not appropriate to do so. I've always wondered why you don't. Now I know, and I think that's a fair practice. It'...

Any reason they aren't making it public like they did with BC? That's this coming Saturday, so are they just hoping to keep the hype down, or?

this list is pretty bleh. Moralite's the only beer i'd buy. Yeah, and it's likely not going to be the pinnacle of freshness, compared to getting it in QC. It's encouraging that St. Louis moved well enough they bothered to bring it back so soon. That might encourage them to try other beers of the st...

http://fullcomment.nationalpost.com/2014/12/16/tom-kott-think-the-beer-store-is-bad-check-out-the-saq/ Yeah, SAQ are a bunch of elitist wine snobs. They barely even deal in beer; basically, if it's not from Belgium, it's shit. Quebec's huge private beer industry is great, but it exists out of neces...
