Re: Lot 41 - Delta Marriott Pearson Airport
It doesn’t take much, does it. Even having those three choices is so nice compared to only having the standard Molbatt options.

Re: Greg Clow to close Canadian Beer News
I hope this site becomes active again soon. Aside from The Bar Towel, it was my main source of information to know what was going on in the industry.

Re: Recruiting back to the Bar Towel
I know it doesn't seem like much, but the activity on the forum thus far in 2024 puts us on pace for the most activity since 2018. Woo! Keep it up! There's been a lot of good discussion. Nice to see. I am particularly intrigued by how much traction the "Non-Alcoholic Beer" thread has got ...

South River Brewing: https://southriverbrewing.ca/ IMPORTANT ANNOUCEMENT! It is with heavy hearts that we announce the closing of South River Brewing Co. As I reach my 20th birthday (Feb 29) I feel that it is time to take a break and after consultation with partners we have decided to close the ope...

Re: Breweries closing and/or restructuring and/or bought out
When did they rebrand? I swear I just bought some of that Highlander Smoked Porter the other day. Indeed it's currently listed in the LCBO right now. It is a little confusing. Here's a couple of items to help explain. Highlander Brew Co. Rebranding as South River Brewing (2020 November 13) United C...

Re: Sparrow brewing
Not sure how I had heard of them, but a good chance it was from Canadian Beer News. Sigh. I made trip to Cambridge in early December 2022 to visit a few breweries but got foiled in my attempt to visit Sparrow by the Hespeler Santa Claus parade that had the road in front of them closed. I’ll keep the...

Wow! That has to be frustrating.Napalm Frog wrote: ↑Sun Jan 28, 2024 11:39 am Ben Johnson did a recent podcast interview, and the reason they had to drop the Post Office was because the owner was dragging his heels on the reno construction, and MY just couldn't wait any longer if they wanted to open on time.

Burlington Dark Ink Baltic Nitro Porter
I stopped in here quite some time ago now. I have to say I found most of their beers pretty average. I still had this one around and had it tonight, and I will give this one high marks.

Re: Alcohol regulation changes
I just saw a fairly brief article on CBC about upcoming changes to various rules and regulations. It included this paragraph about alcohol sales. Ontario is also extending rules governing the purchase of alcohol across provincial borders. Consumers will be allowed to buy alcohol directly from busine...

I was hoping you were referring to the contents. For that, I would have had a suggestion or two.

Re: What's Your Favourite Ontario West Coast IPA?
I tried the Lower West Side last night - very good. I was picking up a slight sweetness that wasn't familiar to me. Thank you Muskokan for this. The others that came to my mind right away as favourites have generally been mentioned - Lone Pine, Ransack the Universe, Mad Tom, Boneshaker, Headstock so...

Re: Is there a Great Beer Grocery Store?
In Guelph, the Zehrs(loblaws) closest to me has a solid selection and usually quite fresh. Lots of imports but just as many Ontario/Canadian craft. Bellwoods(4 brands)/Fat tug/lots of Great Lakes/lots of collective arts I would say the same about the Zehrs at Conestoga Mall in Waterloo, so I wonder...
