They sell beer at grocery stores in quebec and theres nothing exciting there.. how would this be that much different? Exciting is in the eye of the beholder I suppose. I find enough stuff that I find exciting but it's pretty much all Quebec micro stuff. That is true of most of the depaneurs as well...

I thought I'd never live to see the end of the Beer Store / LCBO monopoly. I'm sure grocery stores will stoc...

The SAQ used to be great for beer, although they did definitely skew towards Belgians. Over the last decade, they definitely reduced their selection although you can still find interesting stuff that is not found elsewhere. I do like them for wine, and I'm glad to have the choice between the LCBO an...

+1 for the Prima Pils. I always buy it when travelling now, after having discovered it when it was at the LCBO.

So far it's been a Jever filled summer for me. That may change when Miami Vice comes out though. Yes, Jever has been a great find from this forum and is one of my summer go to beers in the hot weather. Creemore Kellerbier is another go to beer and the Collective Arts Saint of Circumstance is a thir...

This thread makes me sad that Victory Prima Pils is no longer available at the LCBO.

I did try Jever tonight and thought it was a winner.

My Bitter Wife - I like this one a lot; it compares well to many of the IPAs that the LCBO has brought in recently. I predict I will buy a lot of this....I hope it sticks around the LCBO.
