Re: Uncorked-Wine and Spirits Appreciation

That was rather annoying trying to get a *SINGLE* bottle of the Old Weller. First Canadian was showing 12 bottles throughout the week. This morning *POOF* before they're open at 10am. Went to RBC Plaza which reported two bottles. Reserved for a guy. *grumble* Refreshed the stock and King & Spad...

Re: Uncorked-Wine and Spirits Appreciation

Bookers is excellent, I would put it ahead of Eagle Rare. Note: if you go for Blanton's take the "original" (brown label) not the single barrel (green label) Note 2: you may want to keep back ~$35. Old Weller Antique is rumored to be coming in October. Difficult to find even in the USA, I...

Revolution Series beers will be both on tap and in bottle. Bourbon-Barrel Aged Hearts Collide Imperial Stout will be in bottles, but the coffee version and the no-barrel version will not.
Awesome thanks!

Re: Bench Brewery (Beamsville)

Had the Citra Grove at Baker street in Guelph a few weeks ago, it was fantastic i found it to be quite watery. good flavour, no body. I experienced the same, I had it again after having mamouche and it make the grapefruit pop a lot more than I had every experienced. I don't know because it was a fr...

Re: Zwanze 2016 @ New Volo - Oct 1

Wonder when we are going to hear anymore about this, most North American venues already have tap lists and ticket information out already (some for weeks now). It sounds like between opening a new bar, closing a bar, working on another bar, dealing with cask days and also zwanze they are in pretty ...

Re: Detroit

Was just in Detroit for about an hour on my way to Cleveland. Jolly pumpkin is still great in an extremely gentrified area. Place was packed at 3pm on Saturday but the bar cleared out by the time I was gone. It usually has something to do with sports, but no Michigan games were being played on tv. H...

Re: LCBO recalls exploding cans of Amsterdam beer

why would they explode, are they infected? it says they refermented, but they wouldnt have much yeast in them to begin with would they, as it's part beer and part soda? it's very possible the added soda and the presents of yeast would continue to eat the sugars, especially if they are sitting in a ...

I'd recommend Kingston too. Some friends and I did that recently, stopped and hit up stone city, crashed, woke up at 7am, crossed at Cornwall, in burlington by noon.
