Sadly I wasn't a fan of the 2013 batch. I normally drink a lot of Curmudgeon but what I had at the GR tasting was likely the last I'll have of the year. Just not to my taste - even for an English IPA.

trying to avoid the st paddys bar scene Could be tricky. The newest addition, The Stowaway, might be a decent option. It's pretty new so a lot of people still don't know about it, and I hear it's bigger than expected. I might go check it out for the first time tonight. Hamilton will one day be the ...

Over the past year: Two cases of Lag Sucks more recently. Maybe a half dozen cases of the first batch of RPA. One or two cases of Red Racer. It's a recent development. Not something I would normally do, but the GF will only drink big hoppy *PAs lately, and she's very particular about them. Now that ...

Last night:

Founders All Day IPA
Maine Beer Co. King Titus

Hopefully it won't be too tricky to find fresh bottles of All Day later on in the year. Would be great during the warmer months.

A bachelor for the weekend, I made roast beef for some homemade beef-on-weck, even made the buns from scratch. Overall it was a delicious pain in the ass. To go with that:

I grabbed mine at the Elmwood location, but as SevenDuffs said they're likely at other locations as well. Might be a good idea to call around. I didn't go to the Elmwood VBM this time like I usually do, but they reported getting it in as well. Had a Peeper Ale in the late afternoon and having a Flow...

Hamilton's first Nanobrewery?

http://theshipsrations.theship.ca/ They've had the brewpub license for a while but I guess something finally kicked them in the butt to make use of it! First beer sounds promising - a hoppy ginger beer doesn't sound too shabby if done right. Looking forward to trying it. I believe they enlisted loca...

Maine Beer is in Buffalo now???? It seems like something great is added to distribution in WNY every week these days... Agreed. Buffalo currently has Zoe, Peeper, Mean Old Tom, and King Titus. They had everything but the Zoe at Premier, not sure if they sold out or hadn't restocked yet, but there w...
