Re: Coming Soon to the LCBO

The only session IPA that is local that I enjoy is the one at Muddy York. The best I’ve had are the various Lawson’s Super Session iterations.

Tooth and Nail had a decent one too if memory serves. I agree that Golden Beach isn’t bad.

I don’t mind a lighter body, but some are just plain watery.

Re: Uncorked-Wine and Spirits Appreciation

Mead question.

For fruited meads from places like Schramms and Superstition, how fresh should one be drinking these? How long can one hold these?

Over the past few days: Revolution Cafe Deth. (Good stuff, but big as hell) Burdock Blau Plum. Town Radwagen (awfully sweet. Couldn’t finish the pint) Russian River Pliney the Elder. (Classic) Bellwoods Glitterverse. (Not their best, not their worst) Big Spruce Rum Ra Ra Rasputin (infected gusher) G...

Decent beer near Canada’s Wonderland?

I rarely get that far north and a friend from the States asked if there is a family friendly, beer centric restaurant in the vicinity of Canada’s Wonderland. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Cheers!

Re: Bandit Brewery

I ended up going to Bandit for the first time for their anniversary. I had limited time. so hit the bottle shop only. The place was packed and looked nice enough. I’ve now had the dry hopped Pils and a strawberry vanilla milkshake IPA. Both were well below average. The Pils was just a mess. The milk...

Re: Bandit Brewery

Does anyone know if Bandit sells branded glassware and other merchandise. A contact in the States wants some -for whatever reason - and I’ve never bothered going to the brewery before, but said I’d grab some for him if available. Thanks. They definitely did in the past, but I haven't been since las...

Flying Monkeys

I happened to be around the corner from the brewery the other day so ventured in. They had 2016 Invictis in the fridge. Despite what must be a too high price, I decided to grab a bottle. Has anyone had one recently? Has it held up?
