Re: Goose Island Black Friday 2021
OK thanks. The old "lining up" days were almost fun (almost) with coffee and donuts in the line, some swag one year, etc. Maybe I've been confined to the house too long if I'm looking back nostalgically at an hour-long queue! Haha, fair enough! I just checked the Goose Island website and ...

I would bet online only like last year.midlife crisis wrote:Anyone know how the LCBO release is going to work? Online only, or at a particular store (has been Summerhill in the past). I did a quick search of the LiCBO web site but could find nothing more than "Coming Soon".

Same here, got the Jubelale, Left Hand and Timothy Taylor. Tried the Jubelale so far and it's quite nice, somewhat herbaceous, reminding me a bit of a herbal liqueur like Jager (in a good way because I enjoy that stuff).

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS
I definitely come across some great traditional English style ales, but like most releases they're brewed sporadically, as is the trend these days. Town's Three Lions was a fantastic ESB, Chronicle Hero's Handbag is a great dark mild that shows up on occasion. Great Lakes seems to release English st...

For all the Timothy Taylor fans, it's at a handful of stores now including Laird & Eglinton.
The Deschutes is there too according to the LCBO website. Not bad considering the listing only went up last week.

Re: What to do with the Bar Towel Forums?
Like some others here, I'm drawn to Bar Towel specifically because I'm not very active on most social media platforms; I've always preferred this format for conversations and finding information. That said, admittedly it's getting quieter around here. I like the new platform and name change ideas, s...

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS
Picked up this year's Amsterdam Flight Pack as it contains Tempest. However it also contains their Kerstmis Bier doppelbock with retro graphics, from what I can find this is a resurrection of a discontinued beer from the early 2000s. Amsterdam is funny in that I can't find any mention of it on thei...

Re: LCBO Online Exclusives
Three more 3 Fonteinen bottles went online. Intens Rood Hommage (lcbo has a site error for this, but it's coming) Armand & Lambic Vintage I actually came across a couple from the last release in-store, despite being online only. What's the deal with that, a return, or do some managers order a c...

Re: 2021 Spring Ontario Craft Beers and Imports at the LCBO
I've been happily using https://lcbo.watch/new-releases to keep an eye on new releases as they're listed. It's not quite the same as having the seasonal lists as I've noticed some beers show up in store that I never saw on the website, but it's been pretty handy overall. I use this too, and also oc...
