Hey all,
Just a heads up that one of our pilot brews will be on cask today at the Vic.
This is an American style wheat, but with lots of hops (entirely Amarillo). Some of the GLB crew should be hanging around tonight so feel free to offer us your thoughts on the beer.
Cheers,
John

Volo/GLB Collaboration Beer
Our good friend Ralph from Volo is currently brewing a mild on our pilot system with the assistance of Great Lakes' Simon Rollason. One of Volo's customers, an avid home brewer, sadly passed away just recently. Ralph is brewing and naming the beer in his honour. Called Matt's Marathon Mild, it's bre...

Toronto to Dogfish Head
I'm trying to plan a road trip to Dogfish Head and want to make some stops along the way, preferably at brewpubs. Anyone have any suggestions on "can't miss" places and the best route accordingly?
Cheers,
John

Belgian, I assume you're referring to C'est What and not our booth at Caskapalooza? We had both of these beers at our booth all weekend long. We delivered these casks last Tuesday and are equally anxious to have them tapped. Obviously cask beer won't stay fresh forever. I just spoke with them and th...

Hey all, Our 2nd Project X goes tonight and it's going to be great - we've got a fresh cask of Skinny Dip Saison-Weiss and a bit of Morning Glory Breakfast Stout left from TFOB. The beers will be paired with Orange Peel Ale marinated BBQ'd Corn on the Cob, Devil's Pale Ale Mini Burgers and a fresh s...

We've definitely got some high hopes and will be looking for your thoughts on the beers. I just sampled the Double IPA and it's ridiculously over the top with hops. But we dry hopped it for good measure too. Crazy. Between CASKapalooza and Project X nights, we're trying to get your feedback (be it a...

Great Lakes Caskapalooza at Toronto's Festival of Beer
What do you call 20 one-off cask ales over 4 days? Caskapalooza ! We're stoked to launch the most ambitious beer garden/event/craziness that TFOB has ever seen. Over the past few weeks we've been madly brewing a variety of far out beers on our new pilot brewhouse. We've custom built a refrigerated c...

Great Lakes Project X - 2nd Thurs of each month
It's back! Well, sort of... We're stoked to announce the launch of Project X, a monthly event where we'll tap a feature cask only available for the evening. The first event is Thursday, July 9 , from 6:30 - 9:00. Here's the scoop: You'll need to become a member ($10 one time fee, which gets you an e...

Great Lakes 6th Annual Charity BBQ - Sat May 23
Help us kick off summer on Saturday, May 23 from noon-6 at our Annual BBQ. We'll have live bands, complimentary soft drinks and food, and lots of beer. We're doing a specialty cask of Orange Peel for the event too - we figure it's a great way to get people trying cask beer for the first time. We'll ...
