Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Enjoy!

Re: Cask Days 2017
The music wasn't too bad on Friday afternoon but I stayed away from the DJ area other than fetching Ontario beers. There seemed to be a lot more people in that session than last year. Bunch of casks "Sold out" right from the start. Presumably being held back or had issues. I had enough bee...

Re: Cask Days 2017
My friends flaked out at the last minute. I'm coming from out of town and even my hotel is not refundable. Any opinions on doing this fest solo? I've done that a couple of times. Allowed me to plow through what I wanted very quickly. But I'm anti-social sometimes and like doing that sort of thing. ...

Re: Cask Days 2017
Or, one could stop being a ticker for just one day and enjoy the festival as it comes to them on the day of the event. I'm not a ticker at all. I do want to make sure I have all the beers that I think I'll enjoy or am downright curious about. Cask Days is a mad house any day other than Friday after...

Re: Redline Brewhouse - Barrie, ON
In the Bradford/Barrie area this weekend for hockey. What are the package formats for take away beer at Redline? Just growlers, or do they have cans/bottles? Cans and crowlers. And a couple bottles. Oh! The bottles are new then since the last time I was there. I usually go about a handful number of...

Re: Cask Days 2017
Yeah no kidding. I like some time to figure out what I'll be having. Especially this year since I'm only going one day. Sigh!

Will probably stop in at Maverick sometime this weekend since it's in the 'hood.

Re: Cask Days 2017
Yeah I'm waiting for the full beer list too. I wish they could be confirmed and released earlier, preferably ahead of when tickets go on sale. *HINT* *HINT* Festival organizers... I've pretty much stopped going to other festivals because of this.

Re: King Taps - First Canadian Place
I've been to King Taps three times. All on Sundays. The second and third times were to use promotional $25 "gift cards" that were mailed out. I had six to use, due to recycle bin "diving", so brought friends. Two Sundays were in the afternoon and one was late night on the August ...

Re: Beer in Grocery Stores
Zehrs in Barrie on Big Bay has got a beer and wine section now, most of it refrigerated. My first Ontario grocery store beer purchase! It had a pretty decent selection. TBS on Bayfield at the north end actually has an employee (not sure if he was a manager or not) that's been working on bringing mo...

Re: LCBO Autumn Import / Halloween / Ontario Release 2017
But overall this is a disappointing release. Really wish they would bring Pumking back. :( I enjoy many of Southern Tier's products however I bumped into one of the Southern Tier Directors of Brewing & Quality earlier this year at Bar Hop 2. Southern Tier itself couldn't justify have their prod...
