Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Enjoy!

I haven't heard the ad as I rarely listen to radio but it sounds like a bad one. That being said, there are those of us out there that like the smell of WCIPA style beers but not the bitterness level. Having that nice smell but at an English IPA level of bitterness makes for a nice brew for us. As ...

GLB Robohop. Others may disagree, but for my money this is the best beer GLB has ever produced and is also the best hop forward beer ever made in Ontario. Reminds me a little of Heady Topper. Awesome stuff. Thanks to Cale and Mel for this beauty. I grabbed a can of this while I was at the BBQ on Sa...

Great Lakes Annual Charity BBQ May 25th

http://www.greatlakesbeer.com/index.php/events/upcoming-events/ I haven't seen anything on BarTowel about this and I would have missed it if a friend from South Etobicoke hadn't mentioned that he saw a flyer at a local pool. Hope the weather is a bit warmer than today for this event. My family has a...

I used the codes for an Immortal and a Spearhead last Friday. I wanted to try the Immortal but with the mixed reviews and obvious floaties I wasn't keen to buy a sixer. This worked perfectly. The beer was much better than I expected and if it comes in again in a better condition I will for sure buy ...

I had been looking forward to this one but hadn't yet run across it anywhjere until yesterday. In the morning a co-worker gave me a can knowing I was keen to try it. I put aside to try in the evening. The boss took everyone out for a surprise lunch and I saw it on tap at St James Gate. I tried the d...

I bought the last pack of Founders at Crossroads last week. There were only five bottles in the pack. The cashier rang it in as five bottles at $2.25 each ( I forget the exact amount ) and the total came to what the six pack was worth less one bottle. It is a new product but it didn't seem to phase ...

Not really reviews per se, but I've finally had Leo's Early Breakfast and Rye ESB from Dunham. The early Breakfast was great, but the Rye ESB was a surprise - very drinkable! This brewery might be Quebec's most improved if they keep up with the quality offerings. I hadn't heard much about these guy...

Dude had 75 000 twitter followers. Maybe he is just trying to amass a giant list and sell it. I read something the other day about all the Facebook 'name a city without a T in it' or 'give me a million likes and Daddy will buy me a pony'. They sell these lists of likes for advertising. Twitter is th...

I found some of these at Crossroads LCBO on clearance. I'd be interested in knowing how it got there. Did the consignee pick up only the kegs or was this a totally separate shipment? Either way, I hadn't tried it before and it is fantastic. It would be even better in the cold winter but still very n...

I think the system is broken and needs a major overhaul or complete disbanding but I hate the fact that the people involved could be hurt. The people on the 'Towel that work at the LCBO I suspect would be fine of the whole thing went away. There would be a lot more stores and most of them would suck...

Let them strike and let them strike for a long time. Maybe that will give the public push needed to be done with the LCBO and open up the system.
