Do you mean, the last of multiple bottles, or the last bit of a bottle you opened before?
If the latter, how long did you have it "open", and how did you seal it after opening?

Another "agree", and the more imports we see in this size while local brewers insist on >=473ml, the more imports I'll buy while leaving the locals on the shelf!!!

Re: General LCBO Debate & Discussion Thread

Boulevard BBQ $14.30 NB Old Kentucky Bastard $16.50 (I know these may not be exactly the same style of beer, but close enough to demonstrate the point) I sympathize with NB's predicament re: costs of production BUT as a consumer, I say good luck, you're going to need it. That's what you have to deal...

Re: Tempted to try buy more things on sale!

@ JP having his two Gillian confiscated - Shelf tags should be law in Ontario, I don't think you can charge more than the shelf price or the sticker price on something without risking legal sanctions. ... More on topic, the LCBO should be obligated to sell you the item, not withhold the item or inc...

Re: General LCBO Debate & Discussion Thread

Sounds to me like some of the "craft" breweries are realizing: - costs are higher than they planned - they will need higher prices going forward to be viable businesses rather than just "hobby" brewers Once they start to raise prices: - there is only so much of a premium consumer...

Re: 2016 in review

Lots and lots of people prefer beers like those from Port Credit to most everything Bellwoods have ever made. Agree. Many people will "buy local" (and pay a premium) BECAUSE its local, not necessarily for quality reasons. So, while the local brewer will not get rich selling beer to the lo...

Not for sale... period. Glad to hear that's your current intention, but ... every business (asset) has a price  My first thought too. I've never heard of anyone turning away a dump truck full of money (should that theoretically happen) . Business owners will (may) tell you they've turned away...

gouged by AMEX too? AMEX is a very expensive card to accept, which is why we dont accept payment via AMEX Not only is Amex more expensive to the retailer than the other major cards, they hold the funds 3 days. Whereas the retailer gets the money from Visa/Mastercard in their bank account overnight!...

Re: LCBO Online Exclusives

....they'll make more money if I buy direct than if I buy at the LCBO. I don't believe this is true. The way AGCO/LCBO rules work I believe breweries (& distilleries) have to pay up to the gov most (if not all) of the "dividend" LCBO would have made had the product been sold at the bo...

Re: Bellwoods Brewery

To all Bellwoods fans: fill your boots with $14 barrel aged stouts, its your money, do with it what you want. But please don't go screaming obscenities at anyone who disagrees with you. I don't care about how much a brewery spends on rent or fruit ... I prefer my beer without high overhead or (sour)...
