Yes, I was speaking of off-licence sales only. Certainly pubs and brewpubs can sell beer from multiple brewers.

Re: Ontario Craft Beer, Imports and Pumpkin Beers at the LCBO (Fall 2019)

So I suppose the imported beers Brunswick sells fall under this rule. I didn't think it would apply since they're imports and not even Brunswick's own beers, but I guess they've found a loophole. Either way it's pretty nice since the LCBO seems to have stopped carrying Weihenstephaner Dunkel (my fa...

Re: Ontario Craft Beer, Imports and Pumpkin Beers at the LCBO (Fall 2019)

I don't think so -- it has to be brewed on-site for them to sell it directly out of their facility. If a distributor could simply open up a retail storefront (which is what you are suggesting they are doing), then surely Keep 6, R&R and all of our other excellent distributors would be doing so ...

Yes, correct, saw it in the fridge on my last visit to Brunswick.

Re: Ontario Craft Beer, Imports and Pumpkin Beers at the LCBO (Fall 2019)

Definitely Life in the Clouds. Yeah, it's probably my #1 Loblaws beer as well, at least in terms of total purchases. Much as I think Clifford Porter is an almost perfect expression of a quaffable plain Porter, the fact is that I don't really feel like Porter all that often compared to a nice, cloud...

Re: Omnipollo beers

It is true that the Hazy Mariner was borderline -- brewed in late July IIRC -- but I still enjoyed it quite a bit! Recommend it, especially if they put out a fresh batch.

Re: Ontario Craft Beer, Imports and Pumpkin Beers at the LCBO (Fall 2019)

It's probably the best beer at Loblaws. That is an interesting question, actually -- what is the best beer commonly on the shelf at Loblaws? Other contenders: CA Life in the Clouds, Omnipollo Zodiak, BtP Aromatherapy. (I would have included Side Launch Mountain Lager, but it is extinct of course). A...

Omnipollo Nebuchadnezzar from Brunswick Bierworks is tasting mighty fine. Thanks for the tip! Picked some up today for the start of the NFL season. It is, indeed, tasting great. While you were there, did you also happen to try, or purchase, any "Hazy Mariner" NEIPA? It is similarly tasty,...

Re: Ontario Craft Beer, Imports and Pumpkin Beers at the LCBO (Fall 2019)

Uerige Alt, you've made my day; I'm getting an entire case this time around. Pohjala, Cigar City, Dogfish Head, Oskar Blues... the import list is definitely pretty solid this year. Ontario list I agree, not as exciting but there are some decent ones in there. Elora Borealis is great, so I'm looking...

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

Fat Tug in cans and it's drinking very nicely right now! Thanks for the heads up. I went and grabbed a half case and it is indeed drinking great. Glad to see fresh(ish) cans here, as Fat Tug is one of the best WC IPAs made in Canada. Like most beers in the style, I prefer drinking this only slightl...

Re: Omnipollo beers

I really enjoyed the Peter Pale & Mary recently. Good stuff, and quaffable at that ABV.
