Huzzah!! One of my favourite triples as well. I may or may not have been pounding these back while in BC. Now it will be a short trip across the bridge for these!

So cruising around Vancouver I noticed a lack of both Flying Dog beers and Dogfishhead. I brought this up and apparently the reps in town have retired. So no Dogfish for me, but I did find quite the collection of local beers, multiples from Gouden Carolous, a nice bunch of lambics, some Gulden Draak...

Westmalle Triple

I picked up a new bottle of the triple today from the LCBO and did a side by side taste with one of the bottles I have been storing for about 3 years. The newer bottle had more of a sharper spiciness to it, and the alcohol was very pronounced. On the other hand, the older bottle had become quite smo...

Thanks for the head's up Jesse. I've already taken a peek at the SAQ website and I was astonished at the number of good Belgians they have available. Definitely going to be bringing my weight in beer home :D Dutch, when I head over to Hull/Gatineau I usually go to a "Selection" SAQ that's...

Picked up a growler of the Square Nail, and had to pick up others after drinking the first. I wish I still lived in Peterborough with the beer scene continuously improving here! I am excited to explore out in Vancouver once I move in 3 weeks though.

Was back in town for a few days, and like usual made a visit or two to St. Veronus. The food was fantastic like always; I believe we shared the smoked trout terrine, and I had the Carbonades Flamandes (probably spelt that wrong). Beer selection was great like usual, always impressed.

Somehow I managed to eat here 3 days in a row while I was back home visiting. Food was fantastic; the pizzas and sandwiches are very fresh and well made and huge portions! Also the Durham ESB was in top condition; I sampled quite a few glasses. It looked like they also had the King Pilsner, and Mill...

I'm not sure. I just had a bottle of the Smoked Oatmeal Stout from the fall release, and not impressed at all. I believe I hid that bottle in the back of the fridge after trying it the first time. :)

My goal will be to not spend too much money once I move to Vancouver! There are a lot of beers I have not tried in the stores there, which may be dangerous (My last trip there for work ended with me bringing back $300 worth of beer). On the other hand, I'm going to stock up on some Quebec beers to b...

Brit IPA nice. Anyone in O-Town make trips out to that neck of the woods regularly? I'd be happy to split on a case. Where is this all taking place? I'm heading down to Peterborough and Toronto in 3 weeks to visit my parents and such. If something can be arranged I'll bring back some beer! Also I c...

Yes well if the SAQ actually knew where my beer was I would be a lot happier. :) Last I heard it was in Chicoutimi, and that was 2 weeks ago.
