I really enjoyed the Koningshoeven. It looks to have been corked in 07' as well, or at least all the bottles I have are. It's also very sweet and smooth in comparison to the tap version which i find more bitter. I like it either way though.

The Rogue was probably my favourite out of all the releases. I introduced quite a few people to it who also enjoyed it a lot! The Trafalgar was a bit too thin for me as far as beers go. I bought two bottles when they first came out in Sept, and sadly one is still sitting in my fridge unless I wish t...

If you're in Ottawa, the LCBO on Rideau, and the Orleans one both have the Koningshoeven on order. But if you really want some just ask a store manager to order you some! Rideau store is particularly good at helping me get beer in! :)

If anyone in the Ottawa area wants to split on a case of the Classic, Christmas, and/or the Van de Kaizer Blau, let me know! I'm going to get a case regardless, but variety is nice.

Some showed up in Ottawa at the LCBO distribution center. Managed to pick up 20 bottles, and left about 40 on the shelf.

I tried the smoked oatmeal stout by Trafalger, and was pretty dissappointed. It was very thin and watery, with a stale taste. It took a full bottle of Grande Reserve to get the taste out of my mouth. Blah.

Went out for dinner last night at the Black Thorn in Ottawa and had Bellevue Kriek on tap for the first time in years, plus a very nicely poured Leffe brun. Went home and had some Rouge Dead GUY, cracked open a bottle of Chimay Grand Reserve, a few Derniere Volonte from Dieu Du Ciel, some Chambly No...

I have no problem assisting the mule. I'm in Ottawa so quite close. I was at a Metro last time I was in Montreal; I believe it was off the L'eglise subway stop, and they had quite a bit on hand. upwards of 14 6-packs.

My parents live in Ptbo and are huge fans of the Ritz. MY mum used to work with the owner and claims that he is "the beer guy" of Peterborough. I gave in last time I was home, and the beer was quite well kept. had the ESB, and the Wit along with a fresh turkey sandwich with apple chutney. ...
