I've stayed at Le Cantlie Suites and tthe Holiday Inn in Chinatown. Both came in at about $100/night I think. I just used Hotwire to book a night MTL this weekend. I got Hotel Gouverneur Place Dupuis for US$97 all in. I've never stayed there before, but it's only 2 blocks from Cheval Blanc :-) You c...

Broue Ha Ha finally got a shipment from Brasserie Illimites. And in it was a fabulous 6pack. 2 x Cascade IPA, 2 x Golding IPA and 2 x IPA. I picked up a couple. They also have a shipment of this years St. Ambroise Framboise. Good find. Check out the labels. The warnings used to be pretty amusing. N...

Obama and Cameron settle World Cup beer bet.
Just for fun.....
Obama supports one of his Windy City locals. Cameron does the same. Nice!

We didn't get to go to Depanneur Rahman as we tried looking for it after having quite a bit at Dieu du Ciel, its apparently just down the road. Rahman is ok, but those pics of Peluso look nice. I really like the way some of these deps set themselves up. They take the prison atmosphere out of shoppi...

Was in Broue Ha Ha yesterday and they have filled their shelves out nicely. Lots of stuff that both Omni and Trappe don't carry. When I talked with the owner, he mentioned he was working with shipping companies to see how he can improve his pull from all parts of the province. Sounds like it is sta...

Re: BC Beer
My wife just came back from a week in BC. While there, she hit the local liquor store to pick me up some BC Craft beer. After repacking her bags at the airport, managed to get these home without paying for overweight. It was Christmas time at home when she unpacked, for she brought back: 6 - Red Ra...
