Wow that story is crazy. When reading this thread my big question was who was inforcing these interprovincial importation laws, because I couldn't imagine the local police anywhere actually caring enough to chace down cars crossing unchecked provincial borders with booze in their trunk, and I could...

Most of the time I'd pick a sports bar with a decent tap selection. For instance, I like the atmosphere at The Coats of Arms here in London (when there's not a game on), but I usually choose to go to a different pub because the only thing I really like at The Coats is Kilkenny and Guinness. I can ge...

I'm definitely going to keep this in my fridge alongside the ales so I can have some variety to my beers. Thumbs way up! I'm a big fan of dark English ales and I quite liked the Mad Tom as well. I'd also suggest you try the Smash Bomb on tap if you see it and/or pick up some Southern Tier IPA at th...

Let's just remember this was an survey financed by the OCSA, not by an independent source. Not to completely discount the findings, but just take it with a grain of salt. Their method did seem sound though, using a random sampling of stores. I guess some people may have a different meaning of "...

ErkLR - My impression is that it is more than a small concern, but perhaps not as big a deal as made out to be in the media. I'm too lazy to find a link to support it but since one of the issues was when you heat it up, I would think that cans that have been pasteurized would be non-optimal. Yes, f...

Yup there is, nearly all beer cans are lined with BPA (Bishenol-A), a suspected health concern which may end up in the beer you drink & act as a hormone disruptor. I hadn't been thinking about people still being worried about BPA. It *did* create quite a media storm, but so did "power line...

The Cream Ale was relaunched in bottles with the new design/packaging along with the launch of Mad Tom. Interesting move given the hype they have on their website about the benefits of having beer in cans. http://www.muskokabrewery.com/php/whyCans.php If people want bottles and think "good&quo...

They emailed me back this morning only saying it's at the farmer's market. So I guess I'm going to have to head there on Sat to try this out.

I think I'd dislike anything with lime too. I'm not hoping for great beer, just seems fun. I emailed the Mister Beer people to ask where it's available in London, haven't heard back yet. I guess they don't work on Sundays.

That seems like something to try for the hell of it. Do you remember the name of the stand or know if you can get it elsewhere around here?

Is it this stuff? http://bottlebrew.com/index.html

It seems to not be available online, where did you buy it, and what was the price?

Yes I was, and in that case, I think I'll try it again.

I was here last night for the first time. Good beer, good service and I thought the beer prices were very good. I didn't eat, but those who were there before me said dinner was good and reasonably priced. I should also add that I was very happy the music was at a reasonable volume so that you could ...

True, and I agree. I will be sad if the Sgt Major, Corporal Punishment and Stuart's don't come back though. Sgt Maj is still in stock in the LCBO, so maybe they're still making it? Or they just had a lot of stock at the brewery. I'm also disappointed because I just can't get excited about another b...

How many do you have in an average night? I usually have one with dinner each night and a few on a Fri/Sat, but I'm sometimes hard pressed to get through what I have without buying 6-12 of the seasonals/rare items. I usually have one a night but will have a couple on a Friday and Saturday night. I ...
