Well, how'd everyone do after Week 1? I was saved by my Aston Villa players, Barry and especially Agbonlahor, who was fantastic.

There's still time to join the league if you've waited. It's a long season, plenty of time to catch up!

Radek, I'm cheering on Poland as well. I thought the Swiss were a bit unlucky in their game with the Czechs. They should have had at least the draw if not the win. Czechs didn't impress me.

Rosko did you create your team first? Also make sure you use the number including the dash (just copy and paste from my posting here). So far we have 7 teams in the league.

It's been almost twenty years since I was in Belgium, but I'd definitely recommend Bruges (or Brugge as the Flemish call it). It's a very romantic place, so I don't think your GF will mind at all. I spent a week there and when I went to Brussels, I found it boring and came back to Bruges after three...

Just tried a big bottle of Great Lakes Orange Peel Ale on the weekend and it was very tasty. I couldn't taste the orange peel until the beer warmed up a bit but overall a very nice beer with just a hint of orange flavour. I'd definitely buy it again.

I see that a few more of you have joined. It would be great to get at least ten in the league, so I'm giving this a bump. First games coming up this weekend on TSN and Sportsnet.

What did you have in mind, Rosko? There is a simple "pick the winner" game at the Euro site: http://en.predictor.euro2008.uefa.com/ and also a full fantasy team game as well: http://en.fantasy.euro2008.uefa.com/ but it looks like they've already started with some pre-Euro matches, which ma...

Thanks for playing, everyone. I'm very happy with my solid fourth place finish, even though I spent most of the season in third place. Hmmm...sounds just like my team, Liverpool!

Definitely we'll do it again in August!

Wow, I invited some Toronto FC supporters from their various bulletin boards to join in and we now have 18 in the "Toronto Beer League". Surely a few more Bartowellers might want to have a go?
