Re: Indie Ale House

I'm rarely in the Junction but frequently in South Etobicoke. Assuming all the places hours that I go to all gel in the mid morning that'll work out nicely.

Re: Indie Ale House - New/Second Location?

An event posted by the South Etobicoke Brewers - a group of consisting of Great Lakes, Indie Ale House, Black Oak, Von Bugle, and Big Rock - mentions a " new location sneak peek " for Indie Ale House. Wondering if this means they are opening a second brewpub, or perhaps a production brewe...

Re: What're you drinking right now?

I'm a little disappointed with GLB's Ol' Grandpa Eggnog White Stout this year. I've had it in cans and on tap. Previous years, that I recall, it's been served on nitro. This year it isn't, at least at Bar Hop 1, I haven't had it anywhere else yet. It doesn't of course have the same mouth feel as pre...

Re: What're you drinking right now?

On tap at home:

Black Oak Nutcracker

A whole keg, just for me. :D

Cans:

GLB Grandpa's Eggnog white stout

Not quite the same without nitro but still tasty.

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

So, the Rochester Mills Milkshake Stouts, I've had the blueberry, marshmallow and mint ones so far. There's gimmick there but not enough in my opinion. The girlfriend really liked the blueberry one and she generally dislikes stouts and porters. I thought it was fine. The marshmallow one disappointed...

It's out in Toronto now and thereabouts. Picked up several at King & Spadina. There's more in the back stockroom.

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

I made the LCBO rounds last night. My last stop was Queen's Quay. Two gentlemen there were extremely helpful. They hadn't heard of it but went to look it up internally. Out west has it including up to western Etobicoke because the London warehouse had sent the product out. The east warehouse, Whitby...

Re: Worst Ontario Craft Breweries

Trafalgar is pretty much the bar for bad beers, historically. I appreciated their creativity but man those unintentional sours were brutal. They are the only ones that I've returned to the LCBO for a refund. There's a bunch of just meh beers and breweries. I think there's a place for that, trying to...

Re: LCBO Online Exclusives

So I noticed in the browser, despite the "processing" overlay graphic that the cart was updated. I refreshed the browser and I was able to purchase. Sigh. That always happens to me, regardless of whether there's a special release or not. Good to know. That hasn't happened in the past for ...
