more stone IPA popping up at a few lcbos.. biegaman: is this beer back? Or is this old stock? Very old code. Apparently the Ottawa warehouse lost them back in the fall, found them while doing their year-end count and forced them out. We called them right away and asked them to take them off the she...

Red White and Brews - The Only Cafe
The Only Cafe is doing an American tap takeover on Saturday April 23rd. From what I understand they'll have every American craft beer currently available on draft.

What's the deal with De Koninck at the three places Orval_Al? It's been forever since it's been available and it's never been taken off the menu. Inventory for De Koninck has always been available. If it wasn't in stock it's because the owner wasn't ordering it. Last time I went to Town Crier they ...

Had their Layla Pinot Noir Brett Sour tonight... incredible stuff. One of the best sours in recent memory. Can definitely stand up to those south of the border. Find it. Buy it.

It's not uncommon or improper for Witbier to have some tartness. "Sour" would be a defect, but a tangy, tart taste is definitely acceptable for the style, desirable if you ask me. For what it's worth I've always found Unibroue to be an incredibly consistent brewery.

AH man, super bummed out. But it would upset me way more if Coles ever closed. That has been my home away from home for a decade.
So until the brewery and new bar open I guess Mike's down to only 6 spots: Coles, Brennan's, Liberty Hound, Roux Cafe, Moor Pat, and Allen Burger Venture.

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS
Some clarification re: Stone Delicious IPA... Stone decided on an IPA using two then fairly new hop varietals, Lemondrop and El Dorado, which they loved for their ultra-bright citrus qualities. Batches kept coming out cloudy so they called White Labs who gave them an enzyme to help clarify the beer....

If I'm not mistaken this is owned by FAB Restaurants (formerly FAB Concepts), same people behind the new Dominion Pub, Against the Grain, Pourhouse, etc. It's a corporate model so my guess is we can expect something along the lines of (if not identical to) Dominion and ATG.
