Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Had 6 Pints Black Lager, apparently this is a Molson "brand"? Regardless this was really enjoyable. Would love more details if anyone has them

Bought an on-sale 6-pack: 5 were gushers and all were - what I suspect - victims of oxidization. Shame, I really like this when it's on. Would love to see it re-stocked as the big-ass single bottles

Pepperwood's has become grossly inconsistent since Paul Dickie moved on. Last experience the staff knew nothing of the beer available, several listed house brands were n/a, and what house brands they did lacked the quality I remember

Grey Cup bound - Vancouver

I'm off to Grey Cup in 2 weeks. My poor body will have to sacrifice itself to the Molson Machine at official Festival Events but I want to get to at least 2 or 3 good beer bars for the local flavours.

Recommendations?

WWE and Beer

Ok, think what you may about pro wresting but I'm a nerd and this may actually be interesting. A new show proposal for the WWE Network about Stone Cold and beer. Wonder who his "counterpart" may be... Stone Cold Steve Austin and his counterpart, a refined beer expert, visit a different loc...

Yes.

I like Iodophor too. I think we're in a minority with using it. It's considered a little less environmentally-friendly then other sanitizers but I've found a little goes a long way.

My very first batch was 1 can of malt extract a pound of sugar and a little packet of dry yeast that came with the canned extract. I honestly thought I had mastered the simple science of brewing. Then I started googling the term "homebrew" and POW! Right in the Kisser. I realized I knew no...

Beer cocktails

Anyone have any good ones?

Thought I'd try something different while sitting by the pool, drinking a "Dr. Pepper" consisting of

1/2 oz white rum
1/2 oz amaretto
1 bottle of King Vienna Lager

Tasty little number

Second time for me. I understand the price point issue but when your able to talk to all the brewers in one location at the same time, that's worth the price of admission alone for this homebrewer.

Thanks to all the Brewers and organizers for putting on a great show and giving your time.
