Did a Buffalo Run today. I'm not sure if I missed it on previous visits but I came across a bunch of Sixpoint beers at Premier Gourment. Had a Resin tonight: beautiful. Followed up with a Nugget Nectar: even better. But it seems that despite my best Tetris-like organization attempts, I can't fit all...

Quick note: I popped in this afternoon and they had a ton of BOYD in the fridges. I picked up a few more - this stuff is super good. Also picked up a few more of the Galaxy Monogamys (easily one of the best things I've ever tasted that was made in Ontario) and two Roman Candles. This time they also ...

Just had a Sixpoint The Crisp at Momofuku. Pretty good. Funny thing about pilsners - I never seek them out but always enjoy them.

This is also the first time I've seen a Sixpoint beer on a menu in Toronto, but then, I haven't been looking too hard...

Help buying Pappy Van Winkle

Hi all,

Not a beer thing but I know there are lots of bourbon drinkers on here. I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to get my hands on a bottle of Pappy Van Winkle here in Toronto in the next few days? Other than driving across the border, that is.

Thanks.

At The Only last night: Aporkalypse Now Bogfather Black Oak Redeem Me - this did not work for me. Tasted like a watery pint of tea. Long, Dark Voyage to Uranus Despite being an east ender I don't get to The Only nearly enough. It has such a great vibe and the people working were the nicest. Broke my...

Lagunitas Sucks followed by a FW Double Jack. Probably my favourite two beers.

Incredible how they are both big, BIG hoppy beers yet so different.

Ain't beer grand?

The Tree Double Hop Head is pretty damn good. It's not a warehouse relic.

Dropped in to the Queen & Coxwell 'BO to pick up a pair of Jewbelations and found a bunch of Tree's Double Hop Head. I didn't know that this was coming back. I can't find any bottling info on the bottle - does any one know how fresh this is?

Stopped in at The Ceili Cottage to try Beau's pumpkin gruit but it sold out yesterday, so settled on the Durham ESB on cask. Back home: Bellwoods Roman Candle. Very nice. Had a super fresh Witchshark last night and there was something missing - a little too hot. Now onto Hennepin and trying to find ...

First and foremost: Archer is the greatest show of all time. If y'all aren't watchin' this, you be missin' out... Founders Bolt Cutter. I've read a lot about this and there's a lot of criticism online - I think it's warranted. A hot, syrupy, boozy mess. And somehow I still like it. But I capped it, ...

BCBS: from a ridiculously expensive growler fill from Premier Gourmet last week, thinking that it would be the only place that I would find it available. Then found bottles for sale at the Consumer's Beverages on Sheridan. This is indeed a pretty impressive stout - pretty hot but incredibly rich wit...

Personally, I'm rather disappointed that there's been this much mention of In-And-Out Burger and not a single Big Lebowski reference. (I'm looking at you, Belgian, or at least your avatar...)
