Re: Nickel Brook Brewing
Stopped by the brewery for the first time yesterday. Picked up a bunch of beer and some bottles of their root beer and ginger beer. The root beer is excellent. Haven't tried the ginger beer yet, planning on making some dark 'm stormies with it. Will report back. Will also echo what others are saying...

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS
She looked annoyed I think that is one of the prerequisites for being hired at the beer store in the first place. When interviewing new employees, preference is always given to surly, annoyed-looking, short middle-aged women that have never heard of the beer you are looking for, as well as to disin...

Re: Bellwoods Brewery
Donkey Venom on sale Friday at 11 AM. $10/bottle. Just over 3,000 bottles. No limit specified. Curious to see what this batch is like. The first couple batches were super sour. The last batch was less so. And I would like to award a gold star to BakaGaijin for having the closest (although still way...

FT: Grendel's Revenge ISO: Bellwoods sours OBO
Hey all. I have some extra bottles of the Indie Alehouse 3 year anniversary release, Grendel's Revenge. They are big 750ml bottles that are taking up too much room in my fridge. I'm looking to score a Bellwoods Motley Cru '15, Barn Owl 1 or No Rest for the Wicked. If you don't have any of those and ...

Re: Bellwoods Brewery
According to the latest newsletter, a new IIPA is coming out Friday and Bring Out Your Dead 2015 will be released late November. [...] come Friday, unless a sink hole swallows our brewery, we'll be releasing a new, super drinkable, juicy IIPA. Excellent news. I hope they release Barn Owl 3 soon as ...

Re: Bellwoods Brewery
My original point is that I would be willing to support them a bit more if their price point was realistic. I think we'd all be drinking a lot more Bellwoods if the prices were lower. But as has been said before, they have a tough time keeping up with demand and lowering prices would only exacerbat...

Re: Great Lakes
I would definitely take one or two. I don't think I'll make it out to the brewery to get some. I'll try and stop by tonight on my way home from work. I think there may have been a limit of 2. I'll respond back here to confirm. Yeah, if anyone gets in on this, I have a surplus of bellwoods to trade....

Re: Bellwoods Brewery
GLB, sawdust and nickelbrook (unfortunately, not recently for nickelbrook though) are all far better imo. I just don't get the fanboyism for bellwoods. I love that they put out a tonne of different beers... but, it all tastes a little amateur to me. Different strokes for different folks I guess. I ...

Re: Cask Days 2015
I went on Friday afternoon, it was awesome. Decided to go back Friday night and got way too drunk. Was so hungover the next day I decided to not attend Saturday night even though I had a ticket bought and tokens left over. Guess I better use them next year. DDC Immoralite was probably the highlight ...

Re: What're you drinking right now?
Just moved into a new apartment right down the road from Great Lakes. Picked up some Thrust and Apocalypse Much Later, both were excellent. Also found Shillow Bitter Waitress and Big Rig Release the Hounds black IPAs at the local liquor store. A great area for beer! Also drinking the Muskoka Moonlig...
