Re: Did Bellwoods go too far with PG

The mango was delicious. Ended up preferring it to the glass of Motley Cru.

Re: Stone Brewing - Thoughts Nowadays?

While I echo some of the comments so far, Xocoveza and the RIS are pretty epic.

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

Can anyone reveal what's in the Ontario Craft Beer Mystery Box? http://www.lcbo.com/lcbo/product/ontario-craft-beer-mystery-pack/523233 Googling the skus reveals the first two are Left Field Brewery Pale Ale and BTP Imperial Super Guy. Am I reading the price right for this? $38?! I know it says per...

Re: Beer in Grocery Stores

I found the Exchange Session Saison to be extremely nice for a beer that seems to have wider availability only through grocery stores.

Re: value / ABV

Suitably higher alcohol in beverages typically adds body (in more ways than one!) and a feeling of viscosity. I believe a higher level of alcohol in a well-made beer positively enhances the RB ratings already. If you factor the beer site ratings, you are already taking into account the better value...

Re: Bellwoods Brewery

Grandma's Boy released today. There's a great selection of brews at the Hafis location today, including the PEC IPA - one of the better IPAs I've had in recent months. Incidentally, the Hafis location is great, but I can't imagine it getting much foot traffic given its location in a quasi-industrial...

Re: Crossroads (Weston & 401) clearance section

The Mikkeller was there last night at around 10pm when I was there. It doesn't seem to be moving at the $14.10 price point, although that is a fair price IMO without having tasted it yet. If you're facing the entrance of the store there are about 6-7 bottles on the shelves on your right side, towar...

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

Had this last night too.. it's a good beer, but I won't buy more based on the price. I don't love it enough to justify spending almost twice as much as Karma Citra etc. on it Picked up a can of the Collective Arts limited release Imperial IPA at Masonville in London today. I thought this was going ...

Re: LCBO Winter Craft Beer Release 2016

A great list, but I'll take the launch date with a pinch of salt. It's a little over a month away, but we've still only seen 4 of the 11 beers from the fall release...

Re: Random Discounts

In the last 6 months I'm seeing that the LCBO is now doing discounts on products. They seem to be random and from store to store they are the individual and I'm not sure how long they last. They do not show up on the website in any search. For example, secret LCBO store (I need to see if they have ...

Re: Crossroads (Weston & 401) clearance section

As of yesterday, there were still 5 cases of the LTM Weizenbock, and about 10 bottles of Kwak. More interestingly, there were 15 bottles of DDC Exorciste. Around $10.85 for 750ml:

I still don't get this store - it's so completely random.
