Very good event as usual. Nice to try the whitewater brews and some of the offerings from Flying Monkey were very tasty. Also liked that most of the breweries had at least one special or seasonal offering, with an emphasis on pumpkin and oktoberfest beers. On the food front two questions. First curi...

Sunday in Ottawa should be fun. Since it's the last one we thought we might as well bring in more breweries to finish things off. We will have more space in the park so lots of breathing room. We've rained the other two dates this year, so it's not a big deal for us anymore :) We go rain or shine a...

Was a pretty fun event. Got pretty packed on the Saturday later in the afternoon but most of the beers were still available when we got to the cask tent around 12 although they slowly started to disappear from 1 onwards...met some fun people, ate some amazing food (good lord I would have been happy ...

I would not hoard a ton. I bought a 24 in the states last year and it is much better when fresh. Still have about six left and each one is a little worse than the one before. Have to disagree but that's what personal tastes are all about! I prefer things a little more mellow and balanced and right ...

Yeah, obviously if you are on The Esplanade in downtown Toronto you can find a few better options within five minutes' walk. But don't forget Bier Markt now has locations out on the Queensway by the 427 and in Don Mills - both of which are way better than anything else in the area. Sounds like that...

The one in Toronto used to have a decent selection on tap and in bottles before turning into more of a meat market. I would still say that the Toronto location(s) have a pretty decent beer selection. Not as adventurous and ever-changing as other places that have opened in the last few years, but wh...

Ya but that fits in with their location in Toronto.

Also have to say not expecting too much but will definitely be willing to check it out. The one in Toronto used to have a decent selection on tap and in bottles before turning into more of a meat market.

Their breakfast stout is definitely a tasty beer...sometimes prefer it to both the imperial and KBS. Will be interesting to see what else they bring in.

K&E is officially out - was having lunch nearby so stopped in to see if I could get another bottle and nothing there (or at least so I was told - maybe some stuff was on hold).

Yeeeaahh, thanks for that. Put an end to this frustrating week trying to figure out when it was going to show. I asked at the info desk and she went back to get them for me. Noticed a few on the shelf while I was waiting. Agreed - thanks! Went at lunch and got mine as well - there were still some s...

another update: the lcbo at rideau/K.E has the beer in stock according to their computer, but they 'wont be able to access it until early next week due to renovations' I guess they accessed them...only 6 in stock today. Unless they didn't scan them all before the site update. Hmmm - that is strange...
