Re: 3 minutes to midnight
I'm betting that this beer mentioned in the Bellwoods newsletter will be 3 Minutes to Midnight: Maybe you were looking for some warning about important, upcoming dates like, say, the 12th of June when a barrel-aged beer that's only been released once before in the history of Bellwoods, will again b...

Re: a little hard to compare
You just can't throw Bellwoods under the bus for any reason in any debate, period. I'm not a fan of everything they do (Roman Candle, WitchShark are not my thing) but they do delivery highly on intrinsic quality, very careful bottling and quite artistic labelling. I'm opening 2-year-old bottles wit...

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS
i dunno about most here but i don't even really consider bellwoods overpriced. most of their beers are $5 a pop. for a 500ml bottle thats not too shabby at all.

Bellwoods Justu 2.0
Surprised no one's really talked about it but i am seriously loving this pale ale. Honestly, i think it's one of their best ipa/pa/apa/iipa beers that they've put out. you can really taste the complex simcoe hops while the amarillo give the beer a wonderful "bubblegum" finish on the tip of...

i like trou du diable in general, but i find their stuff hit or miss. they've got a couple brews that have been in the lcbo that i wish were year round. la tracteur comes to mind. lovely saison.

Re: Sours, Brett, Wild, and Saisons
If you give us some time, Habits Nanobrewery (@HabitsGastropub, Collage and Dovercort - yah, that's not far from Bellwoods!) is ONLY brewing saisons/brett/funky beers with some sours/wild/barrel aged (we've already got a pinot noir barrel aged saison in barrels) and more classic Belgian things in t...

Re: Uncorked-Wine and Spirits Appreciation
Spain is killing it in the great tasting/undervalued category, so much so that eg. the French are having trouble selling their wine to France because everyone's buying cheaper Spanish imports. My family in Germany buy Spanish red by the case for 20-something Euros, and it's much like a nice Tempran...

Anybody have any insight into this? I'm not a bourbon fan, generally, but this sounds interesting.

Re: Ordering Cantillon through SAQ?
I'm assuming you are talking about Cantillon. Getting a case is possible. Although it's going to cost you. Right now through the Quebec source, they are requiring you to buy 2 to 3 other cases of obvious lesser beers, including all fees. It's going to run you probably avg, $300 to get 6 bottles of ...

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS
this is probably a dumb question but is the sierra nevada (and coming stone) a one time thing or is it going to be ongoing? basically, am i going to be drinking this all summer long as god intended or is it going to be bought up within a couple weeks and i'll curse myself in august for not stocking ...
